To improve this score I would recommend reading our guide which explains the 27 factors used to make up this score. It's not uncommon to see this sort of thing when looking a backlink data at a granular level. The data isn't updated live as crawling and indexing the web is quite a heavy load on resources to it takes time to gather and "crunch"

The most important thing here is to make sure that you're using the Spam Score tool and data in the most helpful way possible. If you're exploring spammy sites linking to your site, and you're finding that they don't exist then * dusts hands * job done.
Please also note that 'disavowing' links won't impact your own site's spam score as we don't have insight into which links are 'disavowed'.

It sounds like you're wondering why we haven't got link data for you in OSE. There are a few possible reasons why your site might not be indexed.

The first thing to check is if your site uses a custom Top Level Domain (TLD), like .agency or .london. If so, then you won't see data for your site in our index, as we don't currently support custom TLDs. Unfortunately there isn't a good workaround for this—it's a technical limitation of the tool. I can see you site http://www.trickypedia.com/ doesn't use a custom TLD, so you're good.

If your site isn't linked to by one of the seed URLs used to build our index, then our bot won't be able to find it and add it to our map. Learn more about how we index the web.

In addition to this, Mozscape focuses on a breadth-first approach. Therefore we almost always have content from the homepage of websites, externally linked-to pages, and pages higher up in a site's information hierarchy. However, deep pages that are buried beneath many layers of navigation are sometimes missed, and it may be several index updates before we catch all of these.

If our crawlers or data sources are blocked from reaching those URLs, they may not be included in our index (though links that point to those pages will still be available).

Finally, the URLs seen by Mozscape must be linked-to by other documents on the web or our index will not include them.

If links to your pages have not been indexed and you have links from high Authority pages, you might want to check to see if we have indexed the pages linking to your site. Enter the URL that you know if linking you into Open Site Explorer and see if we've got those in our index. You'll also want to make sure that we aren't blocked from crawling the site. If our web crawlers are blocked from crawling certain pages (i.e., with "noindex" or a Robots.txt exclusion), they may not be included in the index.

We get this question a fair bit! If your staging URL is hidden behind a log in or a VPN then we won't be able to crawl it. The Moz Pro Site Crawl tool is designed to imitate a search engine crawler so the pages would need to be accessible to our crawler.

Hi Feilim,

Moz Pro campaigns are designed to hold the SEO reporting for your whole website. Some people set up campaigns to track their root domain, subdomain or sudfolder depending on their site set up.

I can recommend our getting started guide for a walkthrough on how to set up your campaign.

Add your keywords when you create your campaign, or through the "Add & Manage Keywords" tab, nested under the "Rankings" tab to track your, and your competitor's, performance over time.

Click the keyword to see your rankings over time, which looks like this.

You can also get pointers on how to improve your on-page SEO, just click on the little grey optimize button on the right hand column of your keyword rankings to run a page optimization report.

There are some good suggestions here on where you can start to explore this, and the insight I have isn't going to be wildly different. Usually it comes down to a difference in timeframe of collections or a difference in how the rankings data is collected. So checking in live SERPs vs a tool can often show different results.
Because rankings can, and do fluctuate, it may be that what we gather one day, changes the next. There are changes going on constantly.

The other difference can come down to how you're checking the rankings. As other folks have mentioned it could be a difference in mobile vs desktop, or local results and personalization. To add to that, many discrepancies in Moz Pro keyword rankings are caused by the way Moz is querying Google and other search engines. Our process completely strips personalization from the query. This means that it's more representative of a national average for all searchers in the country, but it also means that you may not be able to reproduce these exact SERPs within your browser because your location is factored into your search results.

Thanks for reaching out. I can see that you've written in to our support team as well, I'll share the reply here for anyone else who has this query :]

Basically we collect the social traffic data directly from GA. Any discrepancies are usually attributed to either the wrong GA code being added to the Moz Pro campaign.

If the code on your campaign matches your site and the numbers still look a little off then this could be due to the way we collect this data from Google Analytics - every 2 days we request 2 days' worth of data, and then those numbers are summed to give weekly totals, and then those weekly sums are totaled to give total monthly visits. That means that if there was any kind of hiccup in the way GA was reporting your visits on social media when we were trying to collect that data, or if we collected it at a weird time and not all the data was available, our totals can be a bit off.

Unfortunately, we aren't able to display the GA social visits by source so your best bet is to check these figures in GA.

Hey there!

I had a little dig into LDA (this tool was before my time) and it looks like a content relevancy analyzer. From what I understand, there are so many factors to consider in modern ranking algorithms and signals that there may not be one tool or metric that does this. Of course I could be wrong, so I hope other people jump in with their tool tips as well!

Also it's worth noting that your staging site would need to be publicly available for our crawler to reach and crawl it.

We have had some reports of issues logging in to MozBar and I've got some troubleshooting steps which I think might help!

First off please check that you're not blocking third party cookies from your browser settings.

To check this head to this page in Chrome chrome://settings/content/cookies

Then make sure you're not blocking third-party cookies https://screencast.com/t/YUTerLJ1

After you enable all cookies, including third-party, and save the settings, restart your browser and log back into moz.com.

After that, open up the MozBar and make sure you are logged in (it indicates whether you're logged in on the top of the page).

If you're still having problems, you may want to clear your browser's cache and cookies, as well. After it's all cleared out, try restarting the browser again and then logging in.

It can take a few clicks to log in, click on the yellow log in button that opens up a new tab each time, repeat until you're logged in.

First off, it's worth noting that 5% is quite a low score. Secondly, I would clarify that the score isn't a calculation based on the Spam Score of sites linking to your site.

Spam Score is percentage of sites with similar features we've found to be penalized or banned by Google. Hi there,

As you've found out our data for Keyword by site is very US-centric, but we did recently update our corpus to include UK, Canada, and Australian data.

We are working to increase our international volume data in the application, but I'm afraid we don't have an estimate for when volume data will be available for your keyword.

The good news is that your Keyword Difficulty score is unaffected by volume data, as it relies on SERP rankings, so you can definitely still find useful data here.
