I think i didn't put it the right way.

**What if after posting articles to my own site, ** others copy them, post them to their site and even change the links.

In that case, what purpose it would serve, If i post articles to  my own site or to article site.  Because either way,  someone can always copy them.

I am not  going to disagree with you. I believe this is a sound advice. But what if others copy my articles, post them to their site and even change the links. Don't you think it will hurt my site.

Should i suggest the client to create an external .js file. It will reduce the code by quite a bit.. There are too many lines of javascript code.

I understand that there is no description on the site, but still why this text. I would appreciate if you would let me know if anything is wrong with the site.

I was assuming that by including / after allow, we are blocking the spiders and also thought that allow is not supported by search engines.

After reading your answer, i searched for methods on how to generate 410 error.

Lets say i want to remove a page named xyz.html.

Which of the following entry in .htaccess is correct

Redirect gone xyz.html

or

Redirect gone /xyz/

If xyz were in a folder named ABC,

would it be correct

Redirect gone /ABC/xyz.html
