Best Joomla SEO extension?

Anyone know the best / easiest Joomla SEO extension?
-
The SH404SEF site offers a 30-day money back guarantee if that is a concern. Also they host forums and in my experience they reply quite promptly to questions. The site also offers user guides, FAQ and more: http://anything-digital.com/sh404sef/user-manual.html

Any user guides / videos on sh404sef plugin that you know of besides random youtube videos?
-
we use SH404SEF as well

Down here, we use RSSeo since it's almost an all-inclusive plugin for Joomla!
Now, initially I thought it would pre-populate the meta description with unique content as well as change the titles to pick up some relevant page info, but no dice there.
After tweaking with it, it turns out that it will completely create a separate index (hence the index.php prefix when using K2 and RSSeo) which could possibly pull some link juice away.
However, it seems that all that needed to be done there was just utilize the RSSeo redirects (also included under the Extend option) and all duplicated pages in the K2 index were 301'd over to the index.php portion.
RSSeo gives much more manageability (IMHO) because you can uniquely attribute appropriate meta titles, description and even add keywords (not really big on that, but hey, I'm old-fashioned).
Whatever your choice is make sure that before you install your SEO plugin, be sure that your page was already indexed (if you are not familiar with the plugin so that you won't be penalized by the SE's in case you make a mistake) or if you are familiar with it, plug it in and wait for the clicks to roll on through!
CHEERS!

SH404SEF and AceSEF seem to be the two most favored SEO extensions for Joomla.
SH404SEF is a pure SEO extension. It focuses on core SEO and the author is a SEOmoz reader.
AceSEF offers a lot of extra functionality outside of the core SEO. The extra functionality is useful such as internal linking, site maps, etc. but those features can also be obtained from other extensions.

I used AceSEF for a few joomla sites I have built, does the job but can't really comment how good it is compared to the others. The free version puts backlinks/ads on your page, but since it GPL you can go in and remove the links from the code.... if you know where to look
edit: the real problem is finding if its compatible with the other extensions you are using, or if the seo mod you use has an add on for that extensions, and how much that cost.

SEO Ultimate’s and Yoast together
We are using SEO Ultimate’s and Yoast together on a Wordpress website, does anyone have negative experience by using this to plugins together? The main result to use this, is because we could remove the /product/ from the slug. We want clean URL’s and not URL’s that have: website.com/product/PRO1 or website.com/product-catagory/CAT2 (standard Wordpress) But we want: website.com/PRO1 or website.com/CAT2 In Yoast is possible to remove the URL /category/, but not the /product/. With SEO Ultimate’s it is possible. So we use them both. SEO Ultimate’s for the removal of the URL, and Yoast for it’s great functions: Sitemap, no index /page2/, no index media etc. etc. But Yoast gives the following note: ‘’WordPress SEO (Yoast) is known to cause conflicts with SEO Ultimate. Please deactivate WordPress SEO if you wish to continue using SEO Ultimate.’’ I was wondering what this could mean for overal SEO performance. And maybe there is a way to remove the URL’s by using other methods > and remove the SEO Ultimate’s plugin.

SEO value of InDesign pages?
Hi there, my company is exploring creating an online magazine built with Adobe's InDesign toolset. If we proceeded with this, could we make these pages "as spiderable" as normal html/css webpages? Or are we limited to them being less spiderable, or not at all spiderable?

Best way to host new product?
Hi guys We are launching a new product, the web pages are being built by a 3rd party and fall outside our current CMS. We're considering either hosting it on 1) sub domain 2) folder within existing site (although will be tricky to implement) or 3) a different URL altogether. What would you say is the best for SEO? Many thanks in advance.... Nigel

ECommerce Platform Switch and SEO Loss
Hi - We're switching eCommerce platforms, and naturally we're worried about losing organic search ranking. From what I've read on the message boards, I understand it's important to try to minimize as many 301 redirects as possible. Here's my problem: Our Product URLs are like this (ex: http://www.stupid.com/fun/TOLMG.html). On the new platform, URLs cannot contain capital letters. 😞 According to the new eCommerce platform's design team: "Google and other search engines do not see that as a change in URL, they are not case sensitive and will not affect search listings" How accurate is this? And how come on our current platform, if I use an all lowercase URL, it get a 401? (ex: http://www.stupid.com/fun/tolmg.html) Will we be fine switching our Product URLs to lowercase on the new platform? One thing also to note: Our Category URLs will remain the same. Are there any other areas of a typical eCommerce store that I should avoid changing URLs if I want to prevent SEO loss? Thanks! -Justin
