Removing and resubmitting an article to another blog
-
I received a guest post earlier from an SEO company. I have published it, and it's been indexed in Google. Now the person wants me to remove the guest post, probably because they already have a guest post with a link pointing to the same client on my blog.
I don't mind removing it, but are their any negative aspects in republishing that same article on another blog? Would it be a mistake to remove that article from my blog?

I wouldn't worry about it. The second site that posts it might not get as much benefit from it (that's speculation on my part), but I don't see any reason to suspect it would cause issues for you.

Blog migration
Hi We have 4 websites - 1 for company and 3 for each products. Currently all our blog posts are located on the company website company.com/blog. We will be separating out the blog so that product blogs will be in each product website. i.e. from company.com/blog to: company.com/blog product1.com/blog product2.com/blog product3.com/blog This is with the aim of helping SEO for each of the product websites; and improving user experience so users can easily navigate around the product pages if they are reading a blog post on the product. So now we have to consider migration. We will migrate/copy over all blog posts to each of the relevant product websites, but should we: A. keep the old blog posts on company.com/blog and do a rel=canonical B. only show blog preview on company.com/blog which will link to the new product.com/blog (and using 301 redirect) C. 301 redirect all blog posts from company.com/blog altogether Any suggestions on which of the above options to take would be greatly appreciated in terms of SEO and other considerations

Updating Publishing Date on Blog Posts
Hi, We have been optimising and re-sharing old blogs posts from our feed. If we were to change the date of publishing on the posts in order to bring them to the top of our feed, would this have any negative impacts on the posts' metadata? Thanks!

How to Get Rid of Duplicate Content Captured on Article Lists
We have a ton of articles and blog posts on our site. Currently, we display summary lists of articles that contain the first paragraph of the article in the summary list. However, in my reports, this is coming back as duplicate content with the full article itself. How do I fix this? Ex: article main page- http://www.robots.com/articles/10 First article on that page- http://www.robots.com/articles/viewing/grippers-for-robots (which shows up as duplicate content with the main artilce page). With our blogs, we have the most recent 5 blogs (in the same summary format) listed on our main blog page. We then have categories that people can sort by. But again, this is causing us duplicate content because those pages show the first paragraph of the blogs related to that category. Ex: blog main page- http://www.robots.com/blog. First blog listed on that page- http://www.robots.com/blog/viewing/robots-and-automation-bringing-jobs-back-to-the-united-states (which then shows as duplicate content with the main blog page). And then you can also select categories to see related topics: http://www.robots.com/blog/category/buying-a-robot which is showing as duplicate content also. Help! How can I prevent this? Thanks! Removing decent PA and PR pages?
I currently have some html pages that have camtasia videos demo-ing our products; however, these videos are WAY outdated and we no longer want to maintain them. The are only videos, no text at all is on the page. The pages have an average page authority of 40 and mR of 4. Should I just remove these pages or should I create a redirect to the homepage or product page? Or...? I have roughly 30 or 40 of these types of pages. Thanks for any help. Mike

Recently I had + of 1000 errors of exploitation in webmasters tools because there was an url in the code of every page which was untraceable. Do you think that it can come from there? Nevertheless since the passage of Google panda, I have more traffic. I don't Understand... Furthermore my old posts have same positioning. My website : www.dismoicomment.fr Thank you. Sorry for my bad level in english.

Blog Redirect
We have a blog hosted directly on WordPress with a PR of 3. At this point we are moving this blog to our server and incorporating it into our website. I wanted to ask the experts how to go about moving this blog without loosing Page Rank. Is it possible to do a 301 redirect from WP itself? Is there anything that I can do to preserve ranking? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you Dmitry

What is the best way to bring a blog into my SEO strategy
We have a blog set up with Blogger and generate some great content on it. What is the best way to optimise the blog from an SEO standpoint? In particular the domain name, it is currently .blogspot.com address, is there a better way to work with that? Obviously the blog is branded with our company logo and name etc but is about the book industry. I'm basically concerned about linking people to our blog and not the website and so not getting much benefit?
