How can you get accurate search traffic volumes?
-
I have been trying to get accurate search volumes for the search term "how to dance" in the UK. The results seems to vary wildly. Please could someone tell me how many people actually search for this term each month in the UK on Google (or any other search engine for that matter!)?
Thank you!
-
Thanks for that! But how come that is so different to all of the other figures?
-
-
Broad refers to the search volume for a non-exact match of your query. Essentially, 5 million people per month search for something with 'dance' in it.
-
Thank you, to both of you! Your answers are very useful. However, the one thing I do not fully understand is what the 5 million searches in the broad part means?
Thank you!
-
Go to Google Keyword tool:
enter your keyword
change country to from US to UK as US will be selected by default
change the match type from Broad to exact from top right navigation
now you can check the global search volume and local (UK only) search volume.
Though, this is not the exact search volume, in-fact no tool on this planet earth can tell you the exact no, but the no which you would get would be very close to the exact search volume.
The no, which I can see is
1,900 - for desktop and laptop devices480 - All Mobile DevicesSo the total is - ~2380 (approx.)
Hope it answers your query properly.

1900 monthly for UK

Homepage has dropped out of search results
As of 9/12, my homepage has dropped out of the SERPs. If you google my business name (Sumy Designs) it shows other pages in my site, my Facebook page, etc, but not the homepage. My sitelinks are gone too. It IS still indexed, which you can see if you do site:sumydesigns.com I had been ranking for about 15 keywords that have all been lost since my homepage has disappeared. Here's what I know: There are no manual actions. The homepage is still being indexed, it's just not showing up for any keywords, even my brand Nothing has changed in terms of content, I have been a near daily blogger for several years There's no indication of a problem in search console The drop only appears to be affecting desktop searches, mobile search it still shows up which seems pretty weird. I would love any ideas as to what could be causing this disappearance.

How can I make sure a desktoppage is shown in the (desktop) search results instead of the mobile page?
When I search for my brandname, the mobile version of the customer support page is shown in the (desktop) results. We use a m.example.nl mobile webpage. To try to solve the problem, we’ve adjusted the following: Made sure the homepage is marked according to schema.org Homepage expanded with textual content and headings containing our brandname Removed all the textual content from the mobile customer support page Added the mobile customer support page to the mobile sitemap What can we change more in settings/marking/sitemap, to make sure our desktop homepage is shown in the brandname results?

Should component pages be visible in the search result?
Hi everyone, My question is suppose i have a blog having 200 pages arranged in footer like seomoz blog and when i move to 2nd page and say the url is http://www.seomoz.org/blog?page=2 and when i search exact url on google should this page be visible in search result or not. Since all component pages of seomoz blog are visible, i think this should not be a problem but when i see other popular blogs like SEJ and seroundtable none of their component pages are visible in search result. By the way i am using rel=prev and next but not robots: noindex, follow

Can dynamically translated pages hurt a site?
Hi all...looking for some insight pls...i have a site we have worked very hard on to get ranked well and it is doing well in search. The site has about 1000 pages and climbing and has about 50 of those pages in translated pages and are static pages with unique urls. I have had no problems here with duplicate content and that sort of thing and all pages were manually translated so no translation issues. We have been looking at software that can dynamically translate the complete site into a handfull of languages...lets say about 5. My problem here is these pages get produced dynamically and i have concerns that google will take issue with this aswell as the huge sudden influx of new urls....as now we could be looking at and increase of 5000 new urls. (which usually triggers an alarm) My feeling is that it could be risking the stability of the site that we have worked so hard for and maybe just stick with the already translated static pages. I am sure the process could be fine but fear a manual inspection and a slap on the wrist for having dynamically created content?? and also just risk a review trigger period. These days it is hard to know what could get you in "trouble" and my gut says keep it simple and as is and dont shake it up?? Am i being overly concerned? Would love to here from others who have tried similar changes and also those who have not due to similar "fear" thanks

How can you tell if a 301 has been set up correctly?
How can you tell if a 301 has been set up correctly. We had a .co.uk site that has moved over to a .com However the .co.uk we have hasd problems with the old webmaster giving control, but he has said he has implemented a 301 redirect to the new .com site, and if you click on .co.uk it does transfer you to the .com site How can we check that it is a 301 set up and not another sort of redirect?

How can I see if my website was penalize by Google?
Hello, I have a website http://digitaldiscovery.eu that I have been working for 7 months. Everything is alright in the index of the search engines like Google, Bing e Yahoo. I also have like 1000 visits a month wich is not bad for the topic Im pointing at in my country. However my pagerank insist to be on 0, and I really dont understand why. Some of the my competitors that started at the same time, already have a pagerank of 3 and they do not have the same visitors that I do. In the rank system of Alexa im climbing very fast and the visits of my website are growing. So why does the pagerank dont climb aswell?! Tks in advance, Pedro M Pereira
