Best Way to Build up Likes
-
Hello,
What's the best ways to build up "Likes" on Facebook. A friend of mine wanted to buy likes and I'd like to give him an alternative.
We're in the personal development training industry. We have a
nice website
110 Likes
No twitter or Google+
large number of past customers.
The strategies have to be very non-abrasive as our fan base really cares a lot about us. In other words, it's not the kind of audience you can send mass messages to or do anything that would seem like sales or advertising.
Thanks!

Glad that you are planning to get links, the legitimate way… there can be several ways to get quality likes on your facebook fan page.
My suggestions are that you should go for the likes that are coming from your targeted audience and in order to do that here are my advices:
- As you said you offer a personal development training, so why not offer a special discount to your facebook fans only and if someone wants to avail a discount he/she have to be the facebook fan.
- Encourage targeted people to like you and share it with others though Tees, activities and others…
- Offer free lecture on personal development training and make it available for the people upon liking the page.
There can be many ideas so the more you can invest the more likes you can get out of it.

Best way to get likes is to run a contest and pay for Facebook ads to your contest page. Make sure you target related interests and competitors.

Let me give you an example of one of the best "like" campaigns a friend of mine recently launched. They're in the office furniture business. Snooooooze. Here's what they did:
1. Announced a contest to win a top-of-the-line office chair.
2. To enter, you had to submit a picture to them of your current office chair, the more awful and woe-begotten the better.
3. They posted all entries to an album on their facebook.
4. Their fans were asked to "like" the chair that was the worst off and most in need of replacing, whichever photo got the most likes won.
5. The photos went viral because they were funny, and the contestants and their friends were spreading the word.
Edit: Obviously, I'm suggesting you try to come up with something like this haha. I'm not just rambling on

A friend of mine wanted to buy likes and I'd like to give him an alternative.
Glad you are looking for an alternative.
Suggest that your friend make a very visible place to display AddThis.com buttons or some similar service. Make it very easy for your visitors to "like" things.
Then, if it isn't happening that says something.... but, don't expect every visitor to "like" even the best content. If you get a few out of a thousand that is a pretty good rate if your site is visited by people who are not the types to be using social sites.

Here's a great article that appeared on Mashable recently that outlines 6 different types of posts specifically for Facebook to build user engagement.
In addition to these types of posts, publishing great content to your blog that would be appealing to your users, and then promoting those posts through Facebook and other social media sites is also a good idea.
-
At the risk of giving you a very bland answer, the best way to get "likes" is to create content that people like.
Take a look at your industry or niche... what common questions do customers have? Is there a dearth of information on some super-specific subject that you can assist with? Consider addressing common issues like these in a creative way that will really resonate with your current fan base and encourage them to share!

How to rip benefits of Facebook Group likes and shares?
Hi guys. So, here is the question/task I'm battling for several days: As you know, you can't share as a company page in facebook groups. However, you can on other pages. If I share on other page, and people like my post, I can invite those people to like my page, no problem there. However, if I want to share a post in FB group, I can only share as myself, and whenever people like that post, they like a post of me as a person, therefore I can't invite them to like my page, unless I add them as a friend (which is not the best scenario really). The same question goes towards when someone shares a post. So, what is the best way to get some benefits from people I can't invite to like a page directly? Thanks!

How do I build author rank on Google+ ?
I have a website for one of my businesses at www.trustworthycare.com that we've been building upon for many years. On that site we have a lot of content and we publish at least two blog articles each week with solid content that is relevant to members of the market that the business wants to attract as customers. I have a second website for a new business at www.ageassistance.com that is in the same market but which operates in a different manner. That second business is very new. It also publishes two articles per week. Both sites name me as the author and I have created a Google+ page for myself. The sites identify me as the author for google+ author purposes. Both businesses also have google+ pages. The weekly articles are being pushed out to the respective Google+ business pages as well as to my own Google+ page. I think I've got all the basics established for us to take advantage of google+ for SEO purposes, then. Is that correct? If so, what do we do next? What matters? Getting others to +1 my posts? On which Google+ page, mine or the businesses? Getting others to share my posts? If so, is it better to get them shared from my personal page, or from the businesses' pages? Thanks!

Facbook like button - where to?
Hey I own a few websites and always wondering whats better in terms of SEO. Having a like button directed to my website or having it directed to a fan page of my website. Looks like most Seo tools count the "directed to website". is it because its easier? or is it because its better to SEO? Thanks Idoz

Best Social Sharing Platform for B2b sites
Guess that title of the question says it all. What is the best social platform for dull b2b sites? The kind of content that you wouldn't want to share with your friends and family.... Not that type of content before anyone gets the wrong idea 🙂

Sherpas for a journey of best practices for social media marketing?
What are early-stage (0-6 months) best practices for social media marketing in a business to business market? Our customers are professional buyers of electronic components. We are doing it backwards. We registered Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and a few more. +5 for initiative. -5 for not having a social media marketing plan. -5 for not having someone helping us who really knows how to engage with our audience. This is also a humble request to SMM gurus out there who have room for a new client. I'm looking for our sherpa. Thanks!
