Good Morning from 14 degrees C light showers & rain wetherby UK
Ok I'm getting really frustrated with clients inability to ad content so much so its time to go round the problem and find an outsource solution. So my question is please:
1. Can anyone recommend a contnet writting resource
2. Whats reasonable rates to expectThanks in advance
-
Thanks, I developed it myself

Uh nice, I know when you get into print and Press Release copy it can become very expensive as it requires a higher level of writer.
Yeah when I first looked at it I thought the UX design was good, lots of white space making it clear and the navigation very clear.
One thing I also noticed was the load time, very quick, which is rare.
-
Thank you, it's only been up a month or so and we're noticing a lot higher conversion rate and stickiness.
We've got a news article each day (coming soon), so I can't provide feedback just yet, but they seem alright, and have some big clients on board.
For the £200/day we got a lot of value for money, it wasn't just online copy

Another nice thing about Textbroker is your ability as a 'client' to re-use the author if you like the content they're producing for you. Therefore, rather than having to continuously re-iterate instructions and 'break-in' a new writer, you can continue building your relationship with someone who has a little more insight into what it is that you do.
-
Another Vote and Thumbs-up for Textbroker.. I think they also recently launched a service where in you can ensure a local/UK based writers. Like with TextBroker US, it's only US based writers.
-
Yeah sure I will send you a message, rather then putting the personal details up.
If anyone else wants the details as well let me know, only UK based though.
-
Could you provide a contact please?
-
Another route you can consider is: www.textbroker.com. I've worked on both the 'client' and 'writer' side and one of the nicest perks as a 'client' is that you can create instructions for the writer to focus on a specific topic, include keywords, links and more. Additionally, if the author fails to meet any of the criteria outlined in the job description, you can request Textbroker to have the author 'revise' their article.
As far as pricing is concerned, the articles are generally priced between $10-12(US) for a quality entry created by a 4/5 or 5/5 ('star') writer.

I've looked at iwriter.com recently. the reviews aren't too bad, but I am yet to use them myself. They have a tiered payment system based on quality of article and writers level.
I've got a few contacts in the music street journalism business so I've approached them. That could be a good avenue for you as well. I'm sure the Music industry in the UK is underpaid as well.
-
That's a real how long is a piece of string question and depends to some extent on the quality, length, topic etc. We have a bunch of writers that can cover some areas and I have a bunch of freelancers I am happy to share if you give me a rough idea of what you are looking for.

Are you just getting copy done from 'content plus' or all round package?
£200 a day must of got you some good copy.
By the way, like your website looks clean.
-
We are about to sign up for a London based company called content plus. We have previously paid £200+/day to outsource a copywriter.
Hope this helps!
-
Hi,
We use these guys http://buykeywordarticles.com/ on a regular basis for content articles for a number of our sites. There around £4,50 An article and are quiet quick with there response times on requests for more articles.
-
I use a UK based copywriter rather then a online service, find being able to call and email him direct helps get the content write from the word go, rather then getting it, sending back to make amends etc.
With all the research involved I think £25 for 500 words of onsite copy is good, 2000 words £100, job done.

No personal experience with outsourcing content creation, tho you might just take a look at: http://www.ghostbloggers.net/ It gives you a good idea about the prices as wel.

How do you find your ideas for content
Morning Mozzers, We have finally come to the point where we can start to focus on making good original content. We were wondering how you guys come up with ideas for your content. We are currently doing lots of keyword research to gather ideas and subject areas. But we are struggling with 'angles of attack'. Being an eCommerce site it is easy to do lots of "The 5 best products for this" type of content. But we feel there is limited value in these especially if we want to gain links to our articles in future as valued content. How do you come up with your ideas for more valuable and linkable content especially in very niche product areas. Thanks all.

Be brutily honest - What do you think of this old content?
My website reports on news relating to certain web hosting providers, and being hit by the latest phantom update a little I am looking back a little more harshly on some of my content with especially the older articles needing alot of work (I know some areas on the site need work), and there are some articles I am just not sure about. I have listed a few OLD articles below https://www.besthostnews.com/the-power-of-shared-web-hosting-by-bluehost/ https://www.besthostnews.com/siteground-sponsors-wordcamp-london/ https://www.besthostnews.com/free-ebook-guide-to-starting-a-website-on-a-budget-a-small-orange/ These are 3 old articles that I have previously updated several months ago, but are they good enough. Due to the nature of the site sometimes I will report on certain news \ features that a web host releases, and sometimes there is very little to write about. These are probably a good example where I feel there is a struggle to write enough or the quality is perhaps lower than something that has more information to report on. I would appreciate some harsh critical view points \ and perhaps suggestions on how to improve my writing style for these kind of generic style posts.

Blog Content
I keep reading that a steady stream of new blogs from my site is a great way for getting inbound links to my site. My question is... Does the content of my blogs have to be relevant to my site? My site is www.marblerenovation.com. If the blog should stay relevant, I am finding it pretty hard to create engaging content around cleaning marble floors. Also, does anyone know of a good place to find bloggers to help create this content? Thanks in advance everyone Dave

Duplicate content penalty
Hi there, I'd like to ensure I avoid a duplicate content penalty and could do with some advice. There is a popular blogger in my industry. I have agreed to add his blog to my website. He currently posts his blog on one of the popular free blogger platforms, and will continue to do this. The issue is that I will be posting duplicate content onto my site and I want to ensure that I do not trigger a google penalty. Is there a simple way form me to inform Google of the original source of the content. My intitial thoughts are: 1. Add a noindex to the Robots.txt file 2. Add a link at the beginning of the article pointing to the original source 3. Adding a rel=canonical tag in the header of each blog entry pointing to the original blog post which resides on a completely different domain. Thanks DBC

Duplicate Page Content WordPress blog with categories?
Just got a crawl report back from SEOmoz and it gives me lots of errors for "duplicate page content". Upon investigating, I notice this is because my WP blog is setup into categories so the home page is almost identical to one of the category pages. None of my actually posts are the same but the category pages have some overlap since the same post could show up in two or more categories. Is this a problem or can I just ignore this error? Any thing I should be doing differently? Thanks!

What is the best way to get around duplicate content when you are advertising exactly the same content on two different sites?
I am currently trying to improve exposure for an online degrees website but the content for the degree program pages is exactly the same as the company's main website. What would you suggest for getting around the duplicate content issue as a lot of the curriculum content will obviously be the same for each module, etc? Thanks

Who gets credit for content
Does it really matter if somebody takes your content changes it slightly and republishes it? This is my original article on history of house paints which was also published on ezine in Feb. and from google alerts I discovered this page http://www.franklinpainting.com/blog/home/a-brief-history-of-house-painting/ a minimally modified version. It is not easy to create content so these folks just copied and made a blog post. Their are now many versions of this on the web..who wins?

Duplicate content for manually setup blog and wordpress blog
We have a website where the ecommerce will not allow us to host blog. So we created our own manual blog page setup. Will this flag duplicate content on Google? http://www.homesupershops.com/blog and http://www.homesupershops.com/blog-july have same content. How come on a word press the same content on http://www.vizionseo.com/blog/ and http://www.vizionseo.com/blog/2011/05/how-can-your-business-rank-high-on-google-maps/ does not flag duplicate content?
