Domain redirection www or without
-
when i start campain for the first time it says "
"Roger has detected a problem:
We have detected that the domain www.xxxxxxtour.com and the domain xxxxxxtour.****.com both respond to web requests and do not redirect. Having two "twin" domains that both resolve forces them to battle for SERP positions, making your SEO efforts less effective. We suggest redirecting one, then entering the other here."
How to resolve this and how can i redirect xxxxxxtour..com to www.xxxxxxtour.com ?
Thank you

If you use Apache, reference the SEOmoz article cited above.
If you use Nginx, reference this article.
Another "fix" is to use a canonical tag to suggest to search engines which version to index. SEOmoz will still detect a problem, but you'll be fine from a search engine perspective.

The answer depends on how your DNS is set up. Usually it's simply adding a CNAME to your DNS information. Who is your domain name registrar?

I would redirect to the www version because it is more common. To do this just add the code in your htaccess file.
This should help:

I have 2 linking root domains on my URL. But I don't get the whole Root domain thing. So I don't understand how I can improve it?
I have 2 linking root domains on my URL. But I don't get the whole Root domain thing. So I don't understand how I can improve it? I copy and pasted this, from my Links page in my campaign because I can't seem to grasp what a root domain is: 'A higher number of good quality linking root domains improves a page's ranking potential'. Can some one explain to me what this is. As simply as possible. Here's my site www.Thumannagency.com Thanks in advance:)

How is domain authority related to country top level domains?
I've noticed that for some country top level domains (tld) the domain authority returned by open site explorer is based on the domain that has been registered within the tld. For example, domainname.co.uk provides a domain authority specific to the domain. However, for some other country top level domains, this does not appear to be the case. Examples I have found include: domainname.co.nr domainname.co.pt domainname.co.ee For these top level domains the domain authority seems to be the same for every domainname, seemingly implying the domain authority is for the top level domain itself rather than for the domain. Is this a common situation for many country top level domains, so that what I see going in here is the tip of a large iceberg, or does this situation just apply to a very isolated set of country top level domains?

How can authority of the page be higher then authority of the domain?
In the opensite explorer most of the links that I see have a higher domain authority and lower page authority which makes sense to me because I thought that domain authority is an aggregate of its pages authority. But apperently I was wrong because sometimes I see that the page authority is greater then its domain? How could that be?

Domain Authority: Sites with lower numbers get higher ranking.
We had a question about your online tools for http://pro.seomoz.org/campaigns/30642 The Domain Authority for http://pucherinsurance.com/ is 67: Higher than most of our competitors such as <cite><cite>bluecross.ca which has a rank of 54. </cite> </cite> We show up lower in the actual search results. An example phrase would be Visitors to Canada health Insurance. We get an A grade for onsite reports and we are working on the duplicate content and titles. We appear to be doing everything right but still rank lower than expected. Any thoughts?

How can I update On Page Optimization Reports following 301 redirect?
A few weeks ago I ran the SEOMoz On Page Optimization Reports for one of my sites. At the time, the site homepage was duplicated .com/ and .com/index.html (I know!). The On Page Optimisation Reports I ran at the time obviously included both as individual pages. I've now corrected the duplicate issue with a 301 but the On Page Optimization Reports are still looking at the rankings for .com/index.html and therefore showing "not in top 50" for keywords where I'm actually ranking 1st - any idea how I can get the reports to update so they don't continue to look for .com/index.html? Thanks!
