How do I find a cost-effective solution for Infographic deve?
-
I am trying to get an infographic produced from end to end. The problem is, I work for a startup and finances are tight. I have looked at agencies, but they want atleast 2.5k for 1 single infographic. Any advice?

If you have the time, you can do one yourself too. Check out http://infogr.am/. They setup a couple of cool templates and you fill everything in. It's actually pretty fun to do too!

Hi Rand,
His portfolio is here: http://www.design.evasilev.com/
Overall, his work is good. However, the amount of hours you are willing to allow will determine how detailed/customized he can get. In addition, definitely have all of your information in a thorough project brief so you don't run up charges clarifying the data.

Good luck to you!

David,
I appreciate the feedback, I will take your advice. $500-$800 sounds far more reasonable.
How would you rate Zhenia Vasiliev work?
Regards,
Rand

Thanks Igor, I will do that!
Cheers,
Rand

I agree with the two posts above. Also, here is a great example of a unique, interactive inforgraphic:

Hi Rand,
Try elance.com <- bunch of elancers that will do it much cheaper. I've never used them for infographics but I did use them for a lot of the other stuff. Just make sure you read their reviews and negotiate all terms upfront.
or
http://visual.ly/ <- its all about infographics

I have used an oDesk provider named Zhenia Vasiliev to have high-quality infographics produced in the price range of $500 to $800. He lives in the UK so communication is easy, but he can be a little late when it comes to deadlines. I would steer clear of most of the cheap designers on the freelance sites though -- a lot of them are just using programs like piktochart and communication can be a headache.
Regardless of what option you decide on, make sure that the infographic presents awesome information in a unique way that your target user base will enjoy. Right now the Internet is flooded with crappy infographics and there is nothing inherently magical about them. Good luck!

Can Anyone Recommend a Web Page Automated Tagging Solution for Large Sites?
We're looking for a way to automate content tagging on our site with a pre-existing solution/software/tool. This is mainly for content organization and to better establish internal linking connections for a large site. We work with Adobe Creative Suite.

How do you find your ideas for content
Morning Mozzers, We have finally come to the point where we can start to focus on making good original content. We were wondering how you guys come up with ideas for your content. We are currently doing lots of keyword research to gather ideas and subject areas. But we are struggling with 'angles of attack'. Being an eCommerce site it is easy to do lots of "The 5 best products for this" type of content. But we feel there is limited value in these especially if we want to gain links to our articles in future as valued content. How do you come up with your ideas for more valuable and linkable content especially in very niche product areas. Thanks all.

What's a good way to find recent blog posts about a given topic?
Let's say I want to find blog posts posted in the past week or so about "key west". These posts could be on a personal blog, travel blog, etc. Google News is mostly news sites (not blogs) and Google blog search doesn't work any more. What other good options are there? So far Open site Explorer Just Discovered is the best option I've found, but there is a lot of other stuff mixed in with a few blog posts.

Where to find a directory of industry bloggers
Could anyone out there recommend directory sites containing industry specific bloggers or industry specific guest blogs. Always seems very difficult to come by. For example we have written a great article collaborating with a "hardwood flooring" company and would love to get this published. We are in London. Happy holidays to you all 🙂
