What's a good host for wordpress?
-
I've been using A2Hosting.com for a few years and am looking for something more reliable and better tech support.
I've looked at WP Engine, but would like something less expensive or someone to convince me that it's worth the cost
I have 10 domains using Wordpress (clients sites) that need hosting.
What are your recommendations, and what would be the ideal set up?
-
I use Bluehost quite a bit.
Here's a list of Wordpress-recommended hosts. Bluehost is one of them.
-
Thanks. How has there tech support been? They have a lot of negative reviews but its hard to tell if those are BS.
I've been reading good things about Zippy Kid though.

Go with WPEngine.com - you are able to get dedicated IPs per blog, multi-network Wordrpess hosting etc. In my experience the best "host-and-forget" option.

http://www.newgtldsite.com/new-gtld-list/ I also like .amsterdam (my home town) as TLD. What are your thoughts on this? I haven't heard or read much about this in the SEO community so im interested in getting a discussion started.0 -
Are Wordpress sites being dinged by Google? Read a few articles regarding.
I read a couple "SEO" related articles that sites built in Wordpress are going to be dinged by Google because Google sees Wordpress sites as simple to make and a higher potential to be "spammy". Is there any truth to this? Your thoughts? I do give "thumbs up" and "best answer" marks and appreciate receiving thumbs up myself... Thanks

How can you change 'Google related searches'?
I am having problems for a few clients where google is suggesting negative related searches. I have had success getting Google suggestion (auto-complete) to suggest the keywords we want to be associated with the brand but the 'Searches Related to....' at the bottom of the search page is a big problem. Many of the terms are negative of sometimes defamatory and have absolutely not relevance to the brand. Even upon clicking on the related searches the pages Google displays are about other businesses. Can anyone suggest how to teach Google these term are irrelevant or any other suggestions as to how to remove them?

What if the Internet ran out of room? In fact, it's already happening.
Have you heard about this - you should of by now! Read the full article here: http://www.google.com/intl/en/ipv6/ My thoughts are the recent updates and those of which that have been undisclosed at this point are closely related to the expanding of the addresses that will be assigned. What do you think? watch?v=-Uwjt32NvVA&feature=player_embedded

How do I "link" up with USA based SEO's
After 28 long years of wait this year I finally made it to the United States of America. I grew up on "The A Team" , "Knight Rider" and Mcdonalds cheese burgers from 2 years onwards. I am as American as a English person could possibly be. It wasn't until I arrived in Florida and spent two weeks in the great country that I understood the difference in the minds and mentality of people. People were nicer ! People on the whole had a can do mentaily. If your a success people congratulate you for it . Unlike the UK.... Plus people were not scared to make a fool of themselves... (People jumping up and down at traffic lights with advertising boards) Now to my question - I loved it so much I want to go back and I figured me and my wife and 3 year old may have a extended break next time where I can work on vacation maybe over a month or so. I would love to get to know as many SEO's and people based in the USA as possible please and introduce myself etc. Hey who knows maybe SEO Moz can change my future (fingers crossed) Thanks to all the people that get in touch !

How do you value a site that generates no income before it's sold?
Hi, I'm currently creating a number of sites which target the wedding market. Each site is localized and specific to a niche within the wedding market. The intention is to create the site, rank it in the top position of Google and then sell it to a local business within that niche and area. The problem that i am having is that I don't know how to place a value on each site. I have factors taken from Google (using Market Samurai) so I know the broad and phrase match traffic details as well as the Google PPC average prices. My initial thought was to use the Google PPC price and multiply that by the number of organic visitors the site would receive if it was ranked #1 on Google. I appreciate that the PPC figures may be higher than what an advertiser would actually pay per click so I conservatively halved the Google PPC figure given in Market Samurai. Is this a good way of valuing the site or do I need to look at the value per customer to the business that I am trying to sell the site to and work from a conversion factor based on the number of visitors that the site would receive. If the site received 500 visitors per month and 5% of those became customers multiplied by the average profit per customer - that would give a monthly value of the website. I am very unsure as to what the best approach is here and look forward to hearing any advice and ideas from fellow members. Thanks, Michael

Is it Google's new interface for search result?
Hi, While searching on Google, i came across a new search result page without underlines in the titles of search snippets. Is Google experimenting with something new or there is some problem in my browser. I checked it in Firefox but at the same time when i checked it on IE, normal page was visible. Regards photostream
