Google Analytics Tracking Pixels for Third-Party sites???
-
Hello,
Does anyone know if it is possible to track an event on a third party site and have it post back to your Google Analytics account?
For example, I am sending traffic to a partners site and I want to know if that traffic I am sending them will hit a specific point of conversion (a sale) and I'm wondering if it possible to place a tracking pixel on their thankyou.html page that gets recorded in my google analytics?

If the partner site would allow you to add code to their thank you page, you could have them just add your existing Google Analytics tracking code to that page and then page views of thankyou.html would start showing up in your Google Analytics.
The problem with that though is that it will show ALL page views of thankyou.html, not just the page views that originate from referrals from your domain. So this would only work if you are sending traffic to a page on the partner's site that is exclusive to your domain.
You could actually set up a custom report in GA to show only page views of thankyou.html where the referrer is your domain, but you'd have a bunch of additional page views mixed in with your data that have nothing to do with your site.

Display Networks Less Expensive Than the Google Display Network/GDN
Hi Everyone, Are there any display networks that are notably less expensive than Google's Display Network? By this, I mean less than $0.01 U.S. CPC's for real people and not bots. On the Google network, I've tried the trick of opening a sister account with a cheaper currency, but in the end, I wasn't able to get much lower than $0.01 U.S. per click after converting back to U.S. dollars. Thanks, Andy

SEO expert for site
Hey guys, I am looking for an SEO expert for my website. I have talked to a couple different people, but since I know nothing about it, it is hard for me to get a good read on whether they know what they are talking about or not. The main keywords are in the sports betting industry, which I believe to be a highly competitive space. Any advice, suggestions, or recommendations? Thank you

What is the best way to boost no. of quality sites linking in?
Analysing my site ranking compared to competitors, I see that our weakness is getting others to share our content and link into it via their own blogs and social media - although I would say our social media activity is pretty good. We have also worked on getting listed free on relevant sites related to our product area (learn spanish in spain) in order to increase sites linking but this is still minute compared to our 2 main competitors. (As a note: paid listings are not totally justifiable for us at this point in time but perhaps in the future we will expand on this). Am I missing something here?

Affiliate URLs Indexed in Google
We have an active in-house affiliate program which has a create-a-link function where affiliate, as in most affiliate programs, can build links back to our content to produce sales. The problem that I am seeing is that some of the affiliate URL versions are being indexed in Google rather than the original page. For instance.. http://www.ourdomain.com/page_start.aspx?affnum=F025212&Start_Page=RaceCar&referrer=createlink is outranking... http://www.ourdomain.com/racecar This presents 2 issues for us. First, this presents duplicate content issues obviously. Second, we pay our affiliates a portion of the sales so, in order to maximize profitability, we'd like the indexed pages to be the original version. What's the best way to handle this? I want to make sure that affiliates continue to get credit for links from their sites but search engine links should go to the original versions.

How Google Shopping Relevance Determined?
After looking at Google Shopping results, I was wondering how the "Relevance" is determined. It would obviously be hugely beneficial to be ranked as one of the top 5 most relevant products, since that is the default sorting criteria. Originally, I thought it was a combination of Price and Seller Rating. But after examining a few examples, that doesn't seem to be the case. When doing a search for "Radian XTSL" - a car seat that our website features - JustKidsStore.com appears at/near the bottom of the Google Shopping list, despite having a competitive price and ranking well for that term organically (8-13). http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=radian+xtsl&hl=en&safe=off&cid=15471698622239402479&os=sellers# Do you know what the ranking factors are? And if so, can you give a few pieces of advice for best practices? Thanks!
