Is this normal on my website speed tool
-
Hi, i would like to know if this is normal as i have never come across it before. i have just checked my speed which needs a lot of improving. I use joomla 3.0 and recently had a developer upgrade it from 1.5, but now i am seeing under the speed test my website showing twice which looks like it is causing a time delay.
the tool is
http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/dTjwDM/www.in2town.co.uk
can someone please look and let me know if this is normal.
my site www.in2town.co.uk is coming up twice which seems to be slowing the site down and i have checked this tool with other sites and they are fine
many thanks

hi sri, what is the reason why you think i should use text only ads
-
So Many Flash Ads in your Blog, Try to add Text only ads. !
-
I would recommend looking at ASP.Net webpages. Quite easy, good tutorials and videos, great free tools. and produces very clean code. http://www.asp.net/web-pages
-
i would love to learn how to do all that and i have been thinking about going on courses but for the time being i am stuck with joomla
-
I don't use any CMS, but I would assume that you are getting more features, more bug fixes, more hack fixes and all this code is probably slowing things down. With CMS you sacrifice a lot for the ability to build a site without writing code.
Nothing beats a hand made site for speed and clean seo friendly code.

Page Authority for localized version of website
Hello everyone, I have a case here were I need to decide which steps to take to improve page authority (and thus SEO value) for the German pages on our site. We localized the English version into German at the beginning of 2015. www.memoq.com - English de.memoq.com - German By October 2015 we implemented href tags so that Google would index the pages according to their language. That implementation has been successful. There is one issue though: At that time, all our localized pages had only "1" point for Page Authority ("PA" in the Moz bar). At the beginning we though that this could be due to the fact that localization was done using subdomains (de.memoq.com) rather that subfolders (www.memoq.com/de). However, we decided not to implement changes and to let Google assess the work we had done with the href tags. Its been a while now, and still all our German pages keep having only "1" point for page authority. Plus we have keywords for which we rank in the top 10 in English (US Google Search), but this not the case for the translated version of the keywords for German (Germany Google search). So my question basically is: Is this lack of page authority and SEO value rooted in the fact that we used subdomain instead of subfolder for the URL creation. If so is it likely that Page Authority for German pages and SEO value will increase if I change the structure from subdomains to subfolders? Or is it that the problem in PA is rooted somewhere else that I am missing? I appreciate your feedback.

SEO for a a static content website
Hi everyone, We would like to ask suggestions on how to improve our SEO for our static content help website. With the release of each new version, our company releases a new "help" page, which is created by an authoring system. This is the latest page: http://kilgray.com/memoq/2015/help-en/ I have a couple of questions: 1- The page has an index with many links that open up new subpages with content for users. It is impossible to add title tags to this subpages, as everything is held together by the mother page. So it is really hard to for users to find these subpage information when they are doing a google search. 2- We have previous "help" pages which usually rank better in google search. They also have the same structure (1 page with big index and many subpages) and no metadata. We obviously want the last version to rank better, however, we are afraid exclude them from bots search because the new version is not easy to find. These are some of the previous pages: http://kilgray.com/memoq/2014R2/help-en/ http://kilgray.com/memoq/62/help-en/ I would really appreciate suggestions! Thanks

Redirecting pages from a website to another
Hello Moz community, I’ve got a question and hope you can help! I’ve been working to improve my website’s ranking for the keywords “singing lessons London”. My current website url is http://www.sonic-crew-london.com and the page dedicated to the singing lessons is http://www.sonic-crew-london.com/booking/singinglessons.php I’ve recently bought the url http://www.singing-lessons-london.com which I hope will help to climb Google’s ranks a bit more easily for my chosen keywords. I thought I could redirect the old singing page to the new url. Is that something you would recommend me to do? Is there any specific procedure I should follow to make sure the transition runs smoothly? Any help really appreciated! Many thanks

Webmaster tools reporting spurious errors?
For the past 3 or so months Webmaster tools has been reporting 404 errors on my pages... The odd thing is that I can't figure out what they are seeing. Here is an example of a link they claim is a 404 antiquebanknotes/nationalcurrency/rare/1895-Ten-Dollar-Bill.aspx This is strange because it's a malformed URL. It says it's linked from this page: http://www.antiquebanknotes.com/antiquebanknotes/rare/1882-twenty-dollar-bill.aspx Which is a URL that doesn't exist. The bolded portion of this URRL shouldn't be there. Can anyone give me an idea what is happening here? Kind regards, Greg

hi, i am trying to get the true speed of my site. i want to know how fast www.in2town.co.uk is but the tools that i am using are giving me different readings. http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/DkHoNWmZh/www.in2town.co.uk says the speed is 1.03s http://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.in2town.co.uk/i4EMDk34 says my speed is 2.25s and http://www.vertain.com/m.q?req=cstr&reqid=dAv79lt8 says it is 4.36s so as you can see i am confused. Removing some of the indexed pages from my website
I am planning to remove some of the webpages from my website and these webpages are already indexed with search engine. Is there any way by which I need to inform search engine that these pages are no more available.
