I am convinced I have an internal PR problem, thoughts please?
-
I have lost all internal PR on my site when using the browser toolbar, only my homepage has PR now, the rest are unranked. It has been like this for a few months now.
Can anyone confirm this for me please? The site is yourcityoffice.com
If you have any other interesting ways to check PR that do not involve a toolbar or tool bar equivalent. Please let me know.

We were hit by Panda and Penguin and got an unnatural link penalty way back in 2012, Staff at Google confirmed there was no issue, however I have confirmation that we have STILL not recovered from a penguin refresh yet! Even after all this time. However as of yesterday my pagerank is back on all my sub pages!
Maybe this is the first sign of an actual recovery. Even though the pagrank back in the day was a steady 6 with the odd occasion of a 7.

Hey Gary,
Is your traffic OK? Have you been banned?
If neither of those things are issues I wouldn't worry about toolbar PageRank.

Definitely http not https
Ok this gets more strange, I just check on my cell phone as well with wifi switched off and I still get n/a for pagerank on 5 different sites.
PA and DA show up correctly.
What the hell is going on? My business partner in the UK is experiencing the same issues as well as others I have spoken too.
I really need to get to the bottom of this issue, but I am at a total loss right now.
-
Just in case, you are not trying to look up the PR for the HTTPS version of it. Are you?
https://www.yourcityoffice.com/office-space.php
You cannot check Google PR for HTTPS pages by the way on many websites.
-
Gary, for the page, http://www.yourcityoffice.com/office-space.php
the PR is 3. Checked with different tools and they all show the same. Very strange.
-
How bizarre... have you tried using OSE or AHREFS to see if that displays any PA & DA? Have you tried using PR checker? http://www.prchecker.info/check_page_rank.php
-
Just installed search status on firefox on another computer and have the same issue! That computer has never ever loaded up my website and is on a totally different operating system etc...
WTF? LOL
-
Same with PaRameter Pagerank 0, I cant understand what is going on.
The homepage says PR5 so I know its not the tools
-
Strange... have you tried using a different computer? Clearing browser cache, cookies etc. (not sure if that has anything to do with it)
-
I just used installed Status Seo Chrome tool bar and it says PR 0 for the same page? i just dont understand it?
-
Agree with Manny. Your site is absolutely fine Gary. I use the Search Status plugin on Firefox. You can also use PaRameter to check the Google PR for bulk URLs. Here you go: http://www.cleverstat.com/en/page-rank-software.htm
By the way, PaRameter is free

PR5 for home page and PR3 for http://www.yourcityoffice.com/office-space.php using PageRank Status Seo Chrome tool bar.
I use the MOZ bar for PA DA
-
What PR did the page say? Also what tool do you use to see the PA & DA?
-
Hi Gary, i had a look at your site seems fine to me.
When i checked http://www.yourcityoffice.com/serviced-office-united-kingdom.php i get a PA27 and DA46
I get 55 and 46 on your home page.Maybe try reinstalling the tool bar? I find the one in Firefox works best, Chrome is slow to load at time.
Ciao,
Manny.

Problems with canonical urls / redirect (magento webshop)
Hi all, We're running a Magento webshop and we discover some strangs things regarding canonical urls and redirects after using the Amasty improved navigation extension. To clarify, please check these four urls. They contain the same content (the same product page). https://www.afwerkingshop.be/gyproc-gipskartonplaat-ak-2600x1200x9-5mm.html https://www.afwerkingshop.be/wanden/gyproc-gipskartonplaat-ak-2600x1200x9-5mm.html https://www.afwerkingshop.be/wanden/gipsplaten/gyproc-gipskartonplaat-ak-2600x1200x9-5mm.html https://www.afwerkingshop.be/wanden/gipsplaten/standaard/gyproc-gipskartonplaat-ak-2600x1200x9-5mm.html All these four pages have different canoncials (the page url). Obviously, that's not good. However, in Google (site:...) url (1) is the only one that's indexed. Thereby, if I visit the productpage by first going to a category page (fe. www.afwerkingshop.be/wanden.html), I'm redirected to url (1), but the canonical url is www.afwerkingshop.be/last_visited_category_name/product. So, the canonical seems dynamic depending on the last visited category. And still, only url (1) is indexed. Additionally, all aforementioned pages contain . Is anyone familiar with this issue? And more important, will it cause problems in future? Thanks in advance. Kind regards, Chendon

So many internal links to the same page
Hey guyz,
Technical SEO | | atakala
I'm working with a client that has a page which has many internal links to the same page .
Let me illustrate it.
So as you can see I have a page which is called in the image "page" :D.
As you can see, the **page **has many links to the solutions.htmls' anchor links which mean they are basically the same page ( solutions.html)
Is it going to be a problem for us to do that ?
And is there anyway to handle this problem?
Thank you for you patience. And sorry for my bad english 😄 4deRc1W.png0 -
Is it a problem to split anchor text with span / div etc or does it decrease the effect?
Hi, Recently I started seeing more and more anchor text with design variations within them. A noticeable example can be seen in the Distilled top menu.
Technical SEO | | BeytzNet
As you can see there is a part which is in small letters and a part with different fonts. Meaning that there is either an internal span / div / font / italic / etc. or some other attribute within the link (splitting the anchor text). Is it a problem?
Keep in mind that it will be used in the top menu on the most important links. Thanks0 -

Please advice needed SSL .htaccess
Hi everyone, I recently installed verisign ssl. the idea to have page https://example.com all redirect from non-http to https work properly, but in IE whenever smbdy types https://www.example.com it shows the red screen with invalid certificate. If you click "proceed" - everything goes to normal page and on server redirect www to non-www seem to work fine. Is there way to get rid of the warning? Is it server or certificate issue? Here is the peice of code from htaccess. Please, advice needed! RewriteEngine On RewriteBase /RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=on RewriteRule ^(.*) https://%{SERVER_NAME}/$1 [R,L] RewriteRule ^index.php$ - [L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /index.php [L] Thanks in advance

High pr doc files
I saw that the website www.comunicatedepresa.net outranks www.comunicatedepresa.ro for the therm "comunicate de presa" in google.ro SERP even though .ro beats .net in every seo indicator (links, domains linking, fb likes, g+, onpage etc) I saw that site:www.comunicatedepresa.net returns a lot of *.doc files with a title that contains the kw ("comunicate de presa"). Ex: www.comunicatedepresa.net/worddoc/1485/ It seems a little suspicios to me.Did anyone see this before (google giving higher importance to doc files)? Does anyone know why .net site is ranking better?

Can double content be a reason to not have PR?
In a bigger project are several domains that show the same content like the main-site (there is a reason to have it like that). Now those "double-content domains" are indexed and ranking in Google. But now I see that all those double-content domains have no pagerank visible, despite they do all have their unique own backlinks. Do you know why those domains don't show Pagerank? Can it really have something to do with the double-content situation?

Different TLD's same content - duplicate content? - And a problem in foreign googles?
Hi, Operating from the Netherlands with customers troughout Europe we have for some countries the same content. In the netherlands and Belgium Dutch is spoken and in Germany and Switserland German is spoken. For these countries the same content is provided. Does Google see this as duplicate content? Could it be possible that a german customer gets the Swiss website as a search result when googling in the German Google? Thank you for your assistance! kind regards, Dennis Overbeek [email protected]
