How to use remarketing using GTM?
-
Hello Everybody,
Can you please tell me how to use remarketing using GTM? I have read lots of post but confused with Google Analytic, adwords, merchant, tag manager, codes...etc.
So can any one explain me properly?

The Google Remarketing code is for all traffic that comes to your site. You will segment this inside Google Analytics before passing it on to AdWords by making lists in GA. This can be done under the Admin tab, and navigate to Audiences. This is where you will segment your lists.
You can then select to have a list shared with your linked AdWords account. It will populate in your available audiences in AdWords and you can use it to retarget
It's definitely gotten a little more complicated than it used to be, but I assure you this gives you more options and flexibility in reporting

Yes, you will add the remarketing code to GTM. Then you select what pages you want it to go on, and that will enable your ads to run.

Remarketing is only for adwords? we can track adwords campaign right and not for organic. For organic we have enhance ecommerce or event tracking is it?
Little bit confused, your input is more valuable to me.
Thanks!

This is a Google Help page that should set you up. It is a lot like setting up a Display Ad, just very targeted. Hope that helps!

How to add the Enhanced E-commerce plugin if you have Analytics set up through GTM?
I'm having confusion about where I would add the the Enhanced Ecommerce line of code: ga(‘require’, ‘ec’); if I have Analytics implemented through Google Tag Manager? I have read through several articles and still am not entirely sure.

Using logical operators (AND / OR) in Google Analytics Goal Funnels
When setting up a Funnel within Google Analytics, is it possible to use logical operators (e.g. OR, AND) in the first (required) step of the funnel? For example, suppose I want to track users who visit page1.html AND page2.html before proceeding to the destination goal. I've entered two pages separated by the OR operator, and neither the "Verify this Goal" nor "Save" produces an error message - is it safe to assume that this is working as I intend? Thanks in advance!

GTM: Transaction value without tax as variable
Hi Mozzers, I'm trying to create a GTM variable for transaction value without tax. There is no datalayer field for this at the moment. e.g. I only have these fields in the datalayer: Revenue (€19.99) Tax (€3.47) Price (€19.99) No field with the price without tax. Is there a way to create a variable? Is it possible to work with a specific function? Or is it standard to implement an extra field in the datalayer? Many thanks,

Referral exclusion not working with GTM?
Hi, how are you?
Reporting & Analytics | | arielbortz
I have my website with Google Tag Manager implemented. Google Analytics is one of the tags I have configured. The problem is that Referral exclusions aren't working for me. I excluded 3 domains, and I keep seeing them in my Referral Traffic report.
Any idea why this could be happening? Best wishes,

I want to upgrade to Universal Analytics but already using GTM and I have few queries...
Hello Experts, I want to migrate from classical to universal analytics and i am already using GTM for my ecommerce site. I have small 6 queries :- After login to google analytics from admin section i have to transfer property to universal analytics ? right? I have to wait either 24 hours or 48 hours before retagging or doing any changes in UA. So how can i know my property transferred sucessfully? After property transferred to universal analytics, i have to configure the session timeout and campaign timeout periods via the Google Analytics Admin page. ( By default,

sessions end after 30 minutes and campaigns end after 6 months ) is it okay if i don't change this settings? As of now in my analytic i have configured google adwords, google webmaster and google merchant. In analytic i have also set custom alerts, goals, funnels, enchance link attribution, eCommerce etc but google analytics code i have already added in google tag manager, so i have to some manual changes for all such things? or all the things i.e goals, funnel, alerts etc will be transferred automatically at time of transferring the property? In Google tag manager i have already configured following things :- Tags :- Name - Google adwords Conversion Tracking b) Type - Adwords Conversion Tracking c) Rules - order sucessful page Name - Google Analytic Page view Tracking b) Type - Classic Google Analytics c) Rules - All pages Name - Google Analytic Conversion Tracking b) Type - Classic Google Analytics c) Rules - order sucessful page Name - Twitter Conversion Tracking b) Type - Custom HTML tag c) Rules - order sucessful page So at time of transferring property all this will be transferred automatically? Also at thank you page of my website I have scripts for goal setting, Affiliator, so there is no relation of this with migration right? Kind co-operation in the matter of highly be appreciated. So please help me! Regards,

Verifying Site Ownership & Setting Up Webmaster tools for clients who use Hubspot
We are a Hubspot partner agency. I'm trying to find the best route for managing Google's tools as an extra resource for insight, not the primary basis for marketing effort. I also want to explore adwords in more depth. Finding a lot of our clients don't have one or the other or both Analytics/Webmaster tools in place. Can I verify site ownership to set up webmaster tools simply by having admin access to their analytics account or will that require ownership of the analytics account? With Google merging things together these days I'm not sure of the best approach to take. Usually clients have their site hosted somewhere and built on some platform and ADD a Hubspot blog and the landing pages/cta's, Hubspot tools on a subdomain hosted by Hubspot. Hubspot has tools in it's website settings for adding google analytics (actually it's just a field to add code to the header area). If a client has universal analytics on their primary domain do I still need to go and add a separate analytics property for the subdomain and go through Hubspot's tools to install it on the subdomain? Or just use the same code from their primary domain and add it to the Hubspot header? What is the best route? Any additional thoughts on this subject are welcome - with so much updating and changing coming from Google (and Hubspot as we implement 3.0 - COS) I'm trying to avoid wasted effort, outdated methods, etc. Thanks!

How to transfer 5 domains under one Brand domain without using 301 redirect with minimum SEO loss
My situation is rather complicated , I have 5 domains with different but identical services. Some with good traffic some without, but 2 main domains have manual penalty from Google (I have tried a lot to get rid of the penalty but no success) so finally I have decided to move all our websites under one anchor website 'a brand' and pass all the seo juice + blog articles under the same. Now the problem with the procedure is that we cannot redirect the penalized domain urls to new one as penalization will also be transferred and the whole motive of creating a new brand will be lost. So if somebody could guide me as of how I should proceed transferring SEO value with minimum traffic loss but without using 301) **One way I could figure out is using canonical (Am not confident over it) but say I create 5 identical pages on new domain and declare them as canonical of old domain pages (So is it safe? will it transfer the penalty of old domain to canonical new urls? ) ** Rest i am bifurcating all the traffic sources like direct / organic / referral / Social etc and chalking out what we can control manually and in what ratio, gradually I will work on each section to transfer the traffic. Main Problem is of Organic and Not available. Some suggestions or blog urls would be appreciated.

Get Stats on Search Box Usage, Using Google Analytics?
Let me preface this by first saying I am NOT using the Google Adsense Search feature. The question I am asking is pertaining to the standard search box that comes already coded in most .php blogs. In the Google Analytics, is there a way to tell how many people are searching using the search box? I've looked through the navigation and pathway options in analytics and I don't seem to see anything that definitively points to the number of people using the search box but, perhaps, I am overlooking it. Any insight?
