Is there any harm to display NAP more than once on a location page ?

Hi All,
I currently have location specific pages and my branch information(NAP) is currently displayed at the bottom in the page content. I was thinking off displaying the NAP again higher up the page so it's very visible for the user possibly under a h tag heading as well.
Do you think it would be spammy or harm my seo efforts it my NAP was displayed twice on a page ?. Once in the content which currently it's not visible unless the user clicks on the read more link in the content on the bottom of the page , and again further up the page where I have some white space which I can utilize
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Hey Peter,
It's generally considered a best practice to have your NAP at the top of your location landing pages, and I don't see any problem with you doing this and referencing the NAP again at the bottom of the page. Just be sure you're making each landing page unique and of as high quality as you can accomplish.

Thanks for your thoughts. Yes, I know what you mean. These are location landing pages for local search so I need to put the City in there . Curently it's in Title tag, H1, H2 tag although I do try and vary the phrases up a bit . The on page content at the bottom of the screen is unique for each city basically usually explaining usual tips, our product range etc and the branch NAP is currently contained within this.
We use to rank top 3 for pretty much every city in the UK before algorithm changes over the last 15 months or so having caused our local rankings to drop a bit although we are still on first page for most of them. To get up to the top in local search is proving a lot harder.
It's difficult to really know what other /alternative content I can put here for each city or whether reducing the city name would have a positive or negative effect.
It;s also hard to find examples of other sites who have a similar structure where its really worked for them.

Hi Peter,
I personally don't think there is anything wrong with having your NAP in your footer and in your content of your page as long as it isn't spammy and written to help your readers make an informed decision. You mentioned that you just want clients to see the address higher up on the page. So as long as the content makes sense I think you will be fine.
I took a look at the link posted above and in my opinion the page is written more for SEO as opposed for the reader. I see the keyword Bristol all through the content and it doesn't seem to quite flow. Keep in mind that I live in the US so it may seem a bit off to me due how we write, but if that's not the case, I would revisit the content and htags to make them appealing to your readers while still meeting on page optimization guidelines. I hope this helps.

Hi Monica,
I have the company registered address (i.e head office) at the very bottom of the footer which is on every page.
However, On my location specific landing pages, I have the branch infomation - NAP in the content if you click on the Read more link which is in the content at the bottom -

I was thinking of also displaying the NAP quite high the page in the white space on the left below the sub category links

Are you saying you have your NAP in your footer at the bottom of the page or hidden in content below the fold?
In my opinion, you should have your NAP on a contact us page above the fold where a client or potential client can easily access it. Having the information also in the footer of this page isn't harmful. If you want people to contact you then the information should be easily accessible.

Categories for Google My Business pages - do they need to match terms on website?
I have a chiropractor client with three locations. Because the Chiropractor category is very competitive, whomever originally set-up their GMB pages elected to use the category "Pain Control Clinic" for two locations, and "Medical Center" for the third location. They rank badly for these categories. Their website does not contain many signals for pain control or medical center; it is very much chiropractor focused. How to fix directions to a place on Apple Maps, when the location itself is correct.
Hello Community, I do local SEO for our health system. I recently claimed and adjusted the marker on Apple Maps to our Emergency Room. I assumed since there's a road that leads right to it, the directions would change. But the directions send them to the front of the hospital building (instead of the emergency room entrance). Unfortunately, there is no way to get to the ER through the front of our hospital. So now I'm trying to fix the directions itself. I've searched through Apple Forums etc. looking for a solution without success. Any ideas on how I might fix the directions? How do I get Google Knowledge Graph to display my schema snippet added on our official website?
Right now, Google is connecting our company google query to a Knowledge Graph that contains Wikipedia information, and a map to the location of our place but with the name of the company spelled wrong. It also says 'Claim this business'. I would like to override this. We have a G+ page for our company , and as well i have added a Schema to display the information correctly in the Knowledge graph. Preferred URL structure for directory pages?
Hi Moz-Mind, We've got a bunch of duplicate content issues in our directory of trucking-related businesses, caused by search terms that can appear in any order, (classic mistake). We're taking advantage of this our work on URLs to try to improve our URL structure, and I'm not sure which way I want to go. These are the options we're considering. What does the Moz-mind think of each of them? example.com/location-name/service-name example.com/service-name/location-name example.com/service-name-near-location-name For the moment location-name would be a city & state abbreviation, like atlanta-ga, (unless it's better to use something else). Since these are search URLs, it's also possible to add a distance restriction, and a keyword, to the search criteria. How do you suggest adding the distance restriction? example.com/service-name/location-name/50-miles example.com/service-name/within-50-miles/location-name example.com/service-name-within-50-miles-of-location-name And the keyword? example.com/service-name/location-name/keyword example.com/service-name/location-name/keyword/{actual-keyword} example.com/service-name-near-location-name/keyword Something else? Upstream locations to mark a business closed that will cascade to other listings services?
Working with a multi-location business with hundreds of locations, there is always a certain amount of churn (closures, new locations.) In some cases, the business owners never claim listings, or claim them in only the major local business listings such as Yelp and Google Places. Does anyone know of a good post or discussion about how to do a "cascading mark as closed" which will make its way through the LBL ecosystem eventually? In other words, is there a few upstream places to mark a business closed that will influence the consumers of their data feed? thanks!
