Correct Schema Markup
-
Hello,
I've been having some markup issues and need some help.
I researched what would be the best Business type and used that markup on the website.
But when I check it in the testing tool I get this http://screencast.com/t/vtlfn2MNPKf
It doesn't recognize the object type. Could this be an error with my website or the markup its self?
Please advise
Thanks

Hi Vlad,
What I meant was you needed to declare it like this
and not the way you did it . The best tip I could give you is make sure you encase each type of schema inas this allows you to easily nest the different types of schema on a page. I can see that this is the case with your other site after having a quick glance.
Hope this helps

Hi Ravi,
Only certain product pages will show rich snippets, so the ones you are looking at may not show but others most likely will as your product markup is coming back as valid in structured data testing tool. I have seen it mentioned that Google only stores a certain amount of data needed for rich snippets on a websites products pages - somewhere estimated to be between 10-50%.
Hope this helps!

Hey, thanks so much for the fix.
When you say it wasn't declared properly what exactly was the problem if you don't mind.
Also I would really appreciate it if you take a look at fivestarstoneinc.com.
I'm having twice as much problems with structured data and wondering if its the same issue.
Thanks

This is the correct code and will validate if you copy and paste it into the structured data testing tool -
ASG Seamless Gutters Inc
70 Leete St., Springfield, MA 01108 (413) 455-0800 [email protected] <time itemprop="openingHours" datetime="Mon,Tu,Wed,Thu,Fri, Sat 7:00-19:00">Monday - Saturday 7:00a-7:00pm</time>
The postaladdress schema wasn't declared properly so wasn't being read and you needed to close this set of postaladdress schema with a prior to opening hours which are part of the HomeAndConstructionBusiness schema.
Hope this helps

Is this the correct way of using rel canonical, next and prev for paginated content?
Hello Moz fellows, a while ago (3-4 years ago) we setup our e-commerce website category pages to apply what Google suggested to correctly handle pagination. We added rel "canonicals", rel "next" and "prev" as follows: On page 1: On page 2: On page 3: And so on, until the last page is reached: Do you think everything we have been doing is correct? I have doubts on the way we have handled the canonical tag, so, any help to confirm that is very appreciated! Thank you in advance to everyone.

Schema question
Hi all, We have two Trustpilot schemas (Local Business) on our web pages ( One on desktop / one on mobile) but we are finding that it is not updating the number of reviews in the search results. When using the tool : https://developers.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/ , the test results are coming back ok. I have two ideas as to why it may not be working; 1) The duplication of the schema code is causing issues 2) We had to change the html code for all of our 50+ backend pages using a search&replace WordPress plugin to save a vast amount of time. Maybe this is plugin related? The fact that the google testing tool gives back positive results adds to the confusion. I test both of the theorised issues to see if it provides a fixes. Can anyone shed some further light on this issue? Is there something obvious I am missing? All responses are greatly appreciated! Thanks, Tom p.s. Schema Training
What is the best way to familiarize myself with schema and updating it on the website. I know it is important and I understand the concept. It's the implementation and actual mark-up that I struggle with. Are there certifications or courses I could take that would teach me implementation techniques? Is there a blog or person I should follow that is awesome at explaining it?

Schema.org for LocalBusiness v. Webpage
I am adding schema.org markup for some clients and I am running into an issue. Specifically the site I am working on uses a child theme for Genesis 2.0. Genesis 2.0 added schema.org markup by default to all pages. If I want to change the markup on the home page to a LocalBusiness should I remove ALL other schema.org markup on there for the website (marking nav as nav , header as header, etc)? Or can I leave the markup as a webpage and just add the local business markup as well? When I look at it in the testing tool in GWMT, it just shows the webpage markup not the LocalBusiness markup. You can take a look here: http://blueskyrestoration.com. Thanks in advance for your help!

Title tags not displaying correctly?
If I have a title tag with 28 words (around 90 letters) with some repetition and Google has decided not to use this in the SERPS is this a bad thing (basically saying the title tag is not liked by Google).

Getting Google to Correct a Misspelled Site Link...Help!
My company website recently got its site links in google search... WooHoo! However, when you type TECHeGO into Google Search one of the links is spelled incorrectly. Instead of 'CONversion Optimization' its 'COversion Optimization'. At first I thought there was a misspelling on that page somewhere but there is not and have come to the conclusion that Google has made a mistake. I know that I can block the page in webmaster tools (No Thanks) but how in the crap can I get them to correct the spelling when no one really knows how to get them to appear in the first place? Riddle Me That Folks! sitelink.jpg
