Service for multiple loccations
-
Hi,
OK so I have a page on my website which is 24 hour emergency electrician. Please take a look here https://www.otexelectrical.co.uk/windsor-24-hour-emergency-electrician
Now I am ranking OK for Windsor emergency electrician however I would like to do the same for the multiple different locations I've
I could create multiple URLs with different title and description meta information and submit using site map and web master tools however I'm aware that doing this I would be creating duplicate content.
Would a canonical link for each location pointing to the same page be OK to go with and if so how do I go about doing this? Do I do this by linking each area listed to the same page using rel=canonical?
Or if I'm thinking this all wrong how would you suggest I did this.
I'm very new to local SEO so you will probably notice in google I did origonally create multiple pages of the same content with location changes in content, meta tags etc. I realise now this was the wrong way to go about doing this hence why I've deleted these and edited my .htaccess to 301 to the same page.
The location links have dropped in the rankings.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Cheers

Hey Christopher,
you and only use the business address that is real and the actual dress for your company. So you have to optimize it or radius around a certain point. Say X amount or kilometers or miles from your business is your service area.
can be quite large.
answer this simply you must use the same address unless you open up another place where you do face-to-face business.
That helps,
Tom

Thanks, Chris and thank you Mirian!

Do you have a business that has a location in the towns Locations you wish to do business in?
You'll need to do face-to-face business in those towns which it sounds like you're doing to use Google business local.
The scribe something unique about the area in which your company is going to be doing business show them that you know the neighborhood and town. Is your business near the ocean? Are there any significant geographical differences that would do your company of being an electrician different for instance sea air might call for a different type of metal. Or you do boats?
Think of something unique about every town and make sure it is within their and authentic.

Managing Multiple Outdoor (unverifiable) Locations in GMB.
Hello Guys, I have a question about GMB best practice for a physical location, it actually applies to two sites I have. 1. A predominantly online fitness site but with two 'clinic' locations, which are rooms i hire and cannot claim the location. 2. An in-person fitness service, with no physical location, other than my actual home, and 10-20 location pages that have in the past (pre-GMB) ranked quite well. My question really is, what is best practice here, how to you deal with multiple locations when you cannot actually verify you own them, because they are just areas you work in, run classes or meet clients etc? Thank You!

Advanced SEO - Locations vs Service Areas
Hi we have a Roofing business that has an office "corporate headquarters" in Lincoln Nebraska- We have also setup service areas or "address locations" in other states and cities we service. The remote addresses we have are through the UPS store locations giving us an address in the areas- Knowing that Google GMB wants us to list these as service locations and not physical addresses- they have told me directly we are setup okay with separate GMB pages for each location- they say we just need to "hide" the addresses in GMB. Question: If we "hide" the local address on "all" of the local listings how will this affect the local SEO? It seems like not having a physical office will hurt the local presence- or moreso- having an actual office will help it? Can anyone give input and opinion of setting up "Service Areas" vs "Locations" as it relates to SEO and SERP placement? Many thanks in advance.

I had a look at their business listing in the moz local business listing checker and their profile seems very messy. I can see several of their branches listed, some verified, some not verified. When I look at the listing for each branch in detail they are all incomplete but at different levels (ranges from 17% to 46%). Some have a Facebook page and some haven't, same for google my business etc...
My understanding when it comes to multiple locations is that, in an ideal world, each branch should have its own google my business page, Facebook page, a Bing places for business page etc...
Can anyone confirm what the best approach is to deal with multilocations businesses and their business listing and/or point me to some online resource that could help me.
Would I also need to create multiple accounts for listing their business in directories such as Yelp, Yell etc... Thanks so much for all the help I can receive0 -
Multiple brands with same address
Im marketing for an industrial supply company. Under our parent company, we have four separate brands. We'd like to have a google business location for each brand, but they're all made in one facility, with one address. Good idea to do this? or should I just make a brand page for each one and forget about local listings...advice is greatly appreciated!

How is this Ge Factory Service ranking like this?
Recently I was doing some research on "appliance repair" for a new client and I ran into some listings that are ranking locally on the 1st page without barely any backlinks or citations. I am wondering how they are doing this. I under stand since they are a GE company maybe this is why but there is not even no backlinks from the GE main site. This Ge Factory website is a pr0 so how is it ranking hundreds of listings without almost any citations? After searching Google I found over 10k listings for "GE Factory Service". How are they doing this? As I understand only Franchise listings are allowed to be posted Nationwide. After investigation I came to the conclusion that GE does not offer any Franchise Opportunities for their repair service. So isn't this in violation of the terms and conditions? These listings all have the address hidden since these are not storefronts. I have checked many listings and they are ranking for most cities I search including:Atlanta, San Diego, Dallas, Tucson, phoenix.Does anyone have any ideas how these listings with virtually no SEO? Any feedback is appreciated thanks

Google Places Multiple Phone Numbers
Hi Guys, Looking for a advice on having multiple phone numbers. We have dealers who have both a sales phone number and service phone number for the same address. Is it possible to specify this in Google Places so both numbers are displayed in the SERP GP listing as shown below link? Link - http://tinyurl.com/mto86ts Or is it possible to even add multiple numbers on the actual GP local page ? http://tinyurl.com/n7r9w3d Any advice on this? Seems to be from my initial research, the only way to two numbers is via the description. Thanks,
