Soft hyphen in H1 - SEO Grading Problems
-
I just figured out that the MOZ On-Page-Grader can’t render soft hyphen in H1.
As an example, if I have an H1 word like “sometime” the On Page Grader don’t find it as a keyword “sometime” in the H1.
So my question, is it just a limitation on MOZ or a rule for On Page SEO to avoid soft hyphens in H1?

Hey Siggi, thanks for the question.
The crawler that Moz uses for the On-Page scores is very rudimentary, so it can only match the characters directly and any difference between the characters on your page and the keyword term will be reflected as no match in the optimization report.
I can't speak to the SEO aspect of the question, but I can say that Google's bot is much more sophisticated than ours, so it is likely that they can understand the similarity of the two terms much better than our On-Page crawler can.
Another thing to keep in mind is that these reports is that we only show these as suggestions based on SEO best practices, but you may certainly find that not every suggestion is exactly what your site needs. It is important to consider what the right things is specifically for your site and to use your discretion when taking these suggestions into consideration.
I hope this helps!

Hi,
I suspect this is a MOZ thing. Don't worry about the fact it is appearing in an H1, that is just coincidental. There is no SEO rule based around this at all.

Moz bar problem?
I have a little problem regarding Moz bar. I had a FB and Twitter account earlier for my company. I have lost access to those accounts. Also they did'nt had my likes and followers (less than 10). My current Fb and Twitter account are active. Fb has 123 Like. And that the same account I am mentioned on my website. Still MozBar is only detecting that earlier account. Is there a way I could re-direct moz bar to my new accounts? thanks

I have tried a lot to no success. I can read the H1 in the source of the browser. And I have tried without any classes(joomla). Here is the link to the page: http://generalvarmepumpe.no/nordisk-luft-til-luft-varmepumpe/luft-til-luft-varmepumpe-tilbud-vinterkongen-2.html Appreciate any kind of help:)

Should I be getting an 'A' Grade for basic words in a page title?
It seems as long as a word in the page title matches a word(s) within the page content you will get an 'A' grade. Should I be replacing these keywords with higher monthly searches and lower difficulty? It appears deceptive when you test a new website and all the pages get an 'A' for a word as basic as 'about.' Please advise.

Does anyone have a good article or video on how to read the SEO MOZ crawl report column by column?
I am trying to find a good how-to on how to read and analyze each column of the SEO MOZ crawl report, specifically, the excel sheet it allows you to export. What I'm really trying to get to the bottom of is what the "Yes" indiciates under rel-cononical. If it says "yes," does this mean that the link in question has been canonoicalized?

"Avoid Keyword Self-Cannibalization" - can't find the problem
Hi, I understand what this means (or at least I think I do!), but I can't find where the problem lies. The keyword is "fire warden training" and the url is http://www.tutis-fire.co.uk/fire-warden-training-courses/ If anyone could lend a helping hand, I'd appreciate it.

Moz.com Report a Problem or Provide Feedback
Two things. First, I could not find exactly where to report an issue or provide feedback about the website. I don't need to contact about Moz Analytics or any other products. I just want to provide feedback about the Moz Blog. I think it would be nice to be able to report an issue or provide feedback to "Roger" and have that item sent to the appropriate department for review. A lot of websites tend to use "[email protected]" for this, but anything would work. My suggestion is to offer a feedback form on the Contact Moz page. Second, the issue I wanted to report has to do with blog comments. I left a comment early this morning and, with me being on Central Time and the timestamp for comments using Seattle local time, I was surprised to see that my comment had been posted "2 hours ago" immediately after I clicked "Submit." I presume this text is dynamic and that, in Seattle, you see "seconds ago" or something but, being in Wisconsin, I see "2 hours ago." This is confusing mainly because I have no idea how long ago other comments may have been posted. P.S. There isn't a question category for the Moz Blogs so I am choosing Moz - Other Research Tools. I view the blogs as a Product Moz provides so maybe adding "Moz - Blogs" to the Moz Product Help list of categories would be appropriate.
