AdWords Match rule for "&" and "and"
-
Howdy, folks
Here is a question - is there way to have an AdWords matching rule, which would cover both "&" and "and"?
Here is an example - rule to match both "B & B" and "B and B".
Any help appreciated

We'd love to hear what you find out, Dmitrii!

Yeah, that's the question - ill it be treated as variations or not. I guess i can test it.
Thanks for the input.

Hi Dmitrii,
I'm not sure if that's totally accurate. Check this out from Google:
https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2497836
Specifically, this may address what you're asking about:
"Close keyword variations
So that you don't miss out on potential customers, we'll show your ads for close variations of your phrase and exact match keywords to maximize the potential for your ads to show on relevant searches. Close variations include misspellings, singular forms, plural forms, acronyms, stemmings (such as floor and flooring), abbreviations, and accents. So there's no need to separately add close variations as keywords. For example, if your phrase match keyword is "kid's scooter," you'd still want to show your ad when someone searches for "kids scooter" or "kid scooters."Keep in mind that even though we show close variations of your phrase and exact match keywords, these match types still give you more control than broad match. That's because broad match keywords also show for synonyms and related searches, which aren't considered close variations. For app install campaigns, we may extend the scope of some of your keyword match types in ways that are specific to apps. Here's how this can work:For exact and phrase keywords, we may make small changes to search terms (like adding or removing the word "app") to better match with your targeted keywords.
For broad match keywords, we may use app category information to improve both your targeting precision and reach."I can't say with 100% certainty as I've never tested "and" vs. "&" myself, but I would imagine they'd fall under this rule.
Have you checked your search terms reports on those exact match keywords to see if they're matching with either "and" or "&"? That'd be the best way to tell.

That's what I thought (and how i have it now). Just hoped that there is a way

Hi Dmitrii,
If you are wanting to bid on [B & B] as well as [B and B] you will need to input both as separate keywords, as google sees these as two distinct characters, and there is no [exact match] that allows for both the & or and.

Adwords Bidding
I'm just reaching out to get some help with regards to Adwords bidding. I find we are great at comprehensively setting up a campaign but struggle to know exactly what to do regarding setting the bid at the right amount for a keyword. Our current strategy is to maximise Impression share for keywords and therefore we generally look to endeavour to adjust bids to maximize this metric. Is there are good process to use for Adwords bidding or something someone can direct me to in order to uncover the things to consider when adjusting this bidding amount?

Adwords Conversions - Trying to track button clicks that fire when Bootstrap modal contact form clicked/opened
Hi there, I'm trying to implement google adwords conversions on a particular client's website. They have used bootstrap as the framework for their site and mainly open up contact forms within a bootstrap modal, after a button is clicked. See here: http://www.gtwstorage.co.uk/ I thought I had successfully implemented the adwords conversion tracking however it has been a week now, and my conversions still say they are "unverified". I wonder if anyone else has encountered this before and knows what I might be doing wrong. Thank you in advance, Darren

I know its a million dollar question but any insight or thoughts would be appreciated, especially on tracking ROI for example in this case it's just leads via a contact form on potential conservatory, windows or doors work which would be followed up via phone and an onsite visit.

Adding Coremetrics Tags with Google Adwords
Hello, I would like to know if it's possible to add Coremetrics tracking tags in Google Adwords while the auto tagging functionnality is on. The point of doing this is to be able to track in both Analytics systems the performance of the PPC campaigns while still having Adwords to use Google Analytics conversion data. Thanks, Guillaume

Why doesn't exact match appear to be working for me in Google AdWords tool?
Hi guys, I recently read Rand's article here and tried out the exact match symbols on my keywords. However, these don't appear to be working for me as the results aren't showing up as they do in the above SEOmoz article (attached screenshot). What am I doing wrong?
