Google Analytics Numbers Are Weird

Hi,
I'm having a strange problem from past one month. My website gets about 10k pageviews a month with an average bounce rate of 50%. Lately, I observed a strange thing. The avg time on page of visitors from selected countries is less than 1 second and the bounce rate is zero!! How is this possible? This is happening from past one month and it would be really helpful if you guys could tell me what exactly is happening??

Installation of the tracking code twice might be the problem. Because, we had the GA tracking code on the website, and also the Universal GA tag on GTM. I have taken down the tag on GTM, let us see what happens.

Often when the bounce rate is zero, it means your tracking code has been installed more than once. Check that. Also check to see if you're using both Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager on pages. If you are, make sure tag manager is tracking events and not pages which could lead to the same outcome (bounce rate = 0).

Agree that when the user has not viewed multiple pages, the avg time will be **zero ** and the bounce rate 100%. However, in my case, the bounce rate for the pages with almost 0 seconds time on page is **0.00%!!! (please see the attached image in the question). **So that means a user is going to another page before 1 second??? How do you explain this??

That's likely easy to explain: if the user doesn't do the second pageview or you don't fire another event through event tracking with Google Analytics they have no way of knowing how long the user has stayed on the page or if the user has stayed on the site for a bit viewing multiple pages. In that case, the time on page is 0 second and the bounce rate 100%. That is what you seem to be experiencing here.

Are you using a call tracking service? Sometimes they log events in your Google Analytics account, events with no associated page views.

How is Google Analytics defining page depth?
We run two websites and as part of our KPIs we are treating those who visit 3 or more pages of our website as a client served. As a digital team we are not convinced that this is the best metric to use as the improvements we are making to the sites mean that people are able to find the information quicker. Additionally other organisations including forums etc link to us so those users will get the info they need in one click. What I would like to know is how Google calculates page depth in GA. Are they treating the landing page as ground zero and then when users clicks a link they go one page deep? Or is the landing page, page depth 1 . Is page depth a measure of how many clicks a user needs to find their information?

Google Analytics global page empty
Hello, I don't know what happened with my Google Analytics initial page. For around a week I have there all my websites, but they show no results on global page. Site account in Google Analytics

On 2014, during a week, my ID tracking of Google Analytics was removed of the site, in this period the volume of users and sessions is lower than the other weeks. But I don't understand why are the sessions and users still reporting during this period without ID Tracking

Expert Google Analytics: store with multiple languages and multiple sub-domians
I hope there's some hardcore Analytics shark out there, with a quick reply 🙂 I am setting up a store with multiple languages for a client and need to be able to track multiple sub-domains as a multiple languages in analytics. Example: dk.somedomain.com -> Danish language

.. and so on Now what the client would like is to have one single entity with multiple profiles in analytics, like this: somedomain.com
-> www.somedomain.com

ex.. So if the client want's to see stats for the English language then he just vlivks the www profile and in case of danish he clicks the dk profile and so on.

Custom Variables to track Vimeo plays on website with Google Analytics?
Hello Everyone, I'm trying to track how many times a Vimeo video is played on my site via GA. Does any of you have any knowledge of how can this be achieved? I've read the documentation and came up with this: After the iframe embed i insert this: Of course the GA is loaded in the header. Does not work, at least i cant see anything in analytics.
