FAQ Schema Markup
-
I was wondering which blog posts would qualify for an FAQ Schema markup. For instance, we have a blog post which is more like a Q&A interview with our customer where our product gets mentioned several times. Would we get dinged for including our product name in the markup? First of all does that kind of blog posts even qualify for the markup?

when you're having your website designed, whether it's WordPress or different type of CMS, do add schema to your website,
-
Any page that has a question and answer format can be written up with the schema mentioned. It doesn't matter if it's a blog post per se or an actual FAQ page. Markup is just markup. That doesn't mean it will show up in Google's results. The page you submitted is eligible for rich snippets. The markup looks good. I personally use "QAPage" vs "FAQPage" but the code is good and has been run through Google's tester. See link.
I've only been doing the markup for a few months but on the site that I do have snippets, it's for questions that are actually searched for in Google and typically they show up in Google's autocomplete results. Not to say that other forms of questions can't but I've only had success with higher search volume phrases for my site. I also found that the shorter the question phrase the better chance they had to show up. Our FAQ page has 25 Qs and As and only 5 of them show up in rich snippets. We also have a domain authority of 62 so I'm not sure if that helps either. Again, this is mostly anecdotal and not empirical.
Hope it helps.

Correct use of schema for online store and physical stores
I have been getting conflicting advice on the best way to implement schema for the following scenario. There is a central e-commerce store that is registered to it's own unique address which is "head office". There are a few physical shops each of which has their own location and address. Each shop has its own landing page within /our-stores/. So each page on the website has the Organisation schema for the central 'organisation', something like: Then on each physical store landing page is something like the following as well as the Organisation schema: Is this correct? If it is should I extend LocalBusiness with store URL and sameAs for GMB listing and maybe Companies House registration? It's also been suggested that we should use LocalBusiness for the head office of the company, then Departmentwith the typeStore. But i'm not sure on that?

Suite Numbers and Schema
A potentially stupid question. Is the suite number included within the tag, or should it sit outside of it? The reason I ask is because (a) I've seen it where the suite number sits outside that tag and (b) Google My Business best practices, I've been told (by Google support), is to include the suite in the second address line. I'm wondering if that translates in some way to the local schema on your site. On the other hand, it makes sense to include your suite number within the streetAddress span tag, but sometimes what makes sense doesn't really make sense when you know more, so I'm just covering my bases. Thank you!

Can you mark up a page using Schema.org and Facebook Open Graph?
Is it possible to use both Schema.org and Facebook Open Graph for structured data markup? On the Google Webmaster Central blog, they say, "you should avoid mixing the formats together on the same web page, as this can confuse our parsers." How do i properly combine these two schema's from schema.org
So we're redoing our reviews/testimonials page on our website right now and moving over to the schema.org format as described here: http://schema.org/Review But we would like to combine each of our reviews with a location for which it was reviewed using this: http://schema.org/LocalBusiness What i can't wrap my head around would be the correct syntax? is it just the first block and then the next block? or is there a way of putting the actual physical address within the review page itself? So is this the correct way to do a page full of reviews that are reviewing various physical locations? * <div< span="">itemprop="reviews" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review"></div<>* <span< span="">itemprop="name">Value purchase</span<> -* by <span< span="">itemprop="author">Lucas</span<>,* <meta< span="">itemprop="datePublished" content="2011-03-25">March 25, 2011</meta<>* <div< span="">itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"></div<>* <meta< span="">itemprop="worstRating" content = "1"/></meta<>* <span< span="">itemprop="ratingValue">4</span<>/* <span< span="">itemprop="bestRating">5</span<>stars* <span< span="">itemprop="description">Great microwave for the price. Schema Markup and Google's Rich Snippet Tool
Has anyone ever used the snippet tool and gotten the following error "could not fetch website"? When using the tool and placing an url that does not have markup present it will show that as the error. Or if part of markup is wrong, it will diagnose it accordingly. Did a search online and found limited info...one of which someone had this error but when other users tested it, they were not getting the same error.

Your opinion on using the markup from schema.org
I am attending SMXEast and one of the speakers is strongly encouraging to use the markup from schema.org. Does anyone have experience with the markup from schema.org and were you able to track any outcome in the search rankings based on adding this markup?

Schema for Price Comparison Services - Good or Bad?
Hey guys, I was just wondering what the whole schema.org markup means for people that run search engines (i.e. for a niche, certain products) or price comparison engines in general. The intend behind schema.org was to help the engines better understand the pages content. Well, I guess such services don't necessarily want Google to understand that they're just another search engine (and thus might get thrown out of the index for polluting it with search result pages). I see two possible scenarios: either not implement them or implement them in a way that makes the site not look like an aggregator, i.e. by only marking up certain products with unique text. Any thoughts? Does the SEOmoz team has any advice on that? Best,
