Looking for a dedicated Backlinks/Disavow Platform
-
Hi Guys,
Can anyone recommend a good backlinks program. One which is able to detect spammy backlinks and which has a disavow feature. I've tried Monitor Backlinks, Would appreciate any further suggestions.
Priorities are ability to monitor new links and their value, loss of links, link opportunities, with the ability to create recommended opportunity lists and disavow files - ideal if can be used in some way for client reporting also - dashboard or pdf etc.
Help with access to contract link builders (perhaps star rated for quality and efficacy) to go after the opportunity lists also a bonus etc.
Basically what are people using out there and really liking!?
NB: we use moz for some stuff and have a mix of other tools available but nothing seems to be really nailing this for us.
Thanks!!

I can highly recommend CognitiveSEO too. They aggregate all 3 major backlink sources and you can also add in your own upload from GSC. Their tool does an excellent job of categorising the quality of the links, and also an excellent system for easily inspecting the actual pages/backlinks for manual assessment.
Tools also include ability to compare your backlinks to crowd-sourced disavow lists, to automatically generate new disavow files, and they've recently added a solid rank-tracking tool and some improved reporting. Well worth checking out.

Yeah I can happily recommend Kerboo (formally Linkrisk) - great set of guys who run it and also a great software set.
They have a huge database of bad / toxic links which they check against when doing analysis.
You can even pay them to do your initial audit as well if you havent got the time - very reasonable price as well.

Hello,
To be honest, your best option is to go into webmaster tools and review each link to the site. I know this sounds time consuming, but this is probably the best place to get a complete list of the links to your site. You can use Moz's spam analysis tool, but it won't pull all the back links to your site.
There are services that offer the link audit, removal, and disavow process. If you would like more information visit this site http://seo.getbackongoogle.com/
Hope this helps
Nick

Backlinks vs multiple domains
Hello, Our main website is setup on a .com domain and a .ca is setup as a 301 Permanent redirection to the .com. We just signed up to Majestic and found that we had a bunch of backlink linking to the .ca instead of the .com. My question is, is the SEO juice (for DA) being passed by from the .ca to the .com or I should start contacting those websites to get the backlink changed to .com? Thanks

Spammy no follow backlinks - what should I do?
There is a individual/company that is creating lots of spam sites in my niche. It doesn't seem that they are trying to rank for any keywords, so I'm a little confused as to their purpose, but here's what they're doing. They scrape the top 10 Google results for each keyword and create a page - so if the niche is "widgets", they scrape the top 10 ranked sites for 'widgets', 'blue widgets', 'red widgets', and so on. A 'results' page is created for each keyword, which is linked from a home page. The results page always contains 10 websites - text is the site metadescription or similar. Each website gets a nofollow link back with the page title used as the anchor text. The host sites all have the keyword in the domain name - e.g www.widgetsxyz.com. The sites are thrown together but interestingly have a very crappy but individual logo (like 90's clipart). The host sites all have high DA/PA due to some very extensive link spam pointing to the sites, with very targeted keywords. There is seemingly no purpose to these sites that I can see - no other 'followed' links on the page or site. Whoever is doing this is churning out tens, if not hundreds of these sites. Any ideas what might be going on here, and whether I should be disavowing these sites (even though no follow). The fear is that they could switch the links to do follow, and get all the major players penalised in one fell swoop. ???

Networking sites / paid links
A national networking company charges its members, say, a few of hundred pounds to become part of their network, which involves offline networking events and online in forums and a directory. All the links of the directory and forum sigs etc are all do-follow. While it's not just a directory, how beneficial a link is this likely to be? The site itself has a DA of 60 and a PR rank of 4. 1k likes on their cnnected FB page and 21 likes on the G+. At the networking meetings they tell new recruits that being a member gives them a very valuable backlink and everytime they participate in the forums they get another do follow backlink. Ive checked and they are dofollow. Is this likely to be a great value link?

How long before backlinks take effect?
In general how long would it take for Google to update the SERP after it found the external link activity? Does it depend on the website the link is on as? So for example, after it found a link on the BBC would the SERP update a lot quicker then after a link on a small blog? Maybe Google updates on a certain day?

Submitting my URL on web/business/service directories
Does it make sense to submit a business URL in as many relevant web/business directories as possible when kicking off a link building campaign? Submitting a free listing is obviously better than nothing, but when does it make sense to pay extra for a premium listing profile on some of these directories? There are just so many and a lot of them appear spammy, even though some of my competitors are getting traffic from them. Any advice on this would be great!

Backlinks from HTTPS adresses
I did a search of the Q&A and didn't see a direct answer to this, so here it goes! Is a backlink from an HTTPS address valued the same as an HTTP? Thanks!
