Schema LocalBusiness for multiple store locations
-
Hello,
I want to add LocalBusiness mark up to our store pages.
I recently read this article https://mza.bundledseo.com/blog/structured-data-for-seo-2
One piece of advice I wanted to confirm is this section:
- It might seem counter-intuitive, but organization and LocalBusiness markup should only be used on the pages which are actually about your business (e.g. homepage, about page, and/or contact page).
I am working on an e-commerce site that has multiple stores and a store page for each. Currently there is Organization Mark Up (with the head office contact information) on every single page.
Am I right in saying that we should remove the Organization Mark Up from every page except the homepage, then add LocalBusiness mark up to each store page with the relevant contact information for each store?
Many thanks in advance.

yes it is possible for your [web developers]https://www.wandpmarketing.co.uk/() to add schema markup,
-
That's what I would do! I'd also keep scanning implementation with Google's schema tool to check for errors

Thank you for your reply.
Just to clarify, there is only one website with multiple store locations. e.g.
www.onlineshop.com/Glasgow-store
www.onlineshop.com/Edinburgh-store
So, I will have Organization Mark-up on the homepage www.onlineshop.com
Then, I will have LocalBusiness Mark-up on the store pages listed above?

The steps you have suggested seem correct to me. You are right not to plaster your whole site(s) with the specified schema, as it could lead to rich-snippet spam penalties. The homepage for each store makes the most sense, you could also include the contact pages if you wanted to

Schema description wordcount guidelines ?
Hi is there a wordcount guideline for the description field in Ravens schema creator ? according to their page on event schema an excerpt from the page will show up as a short description but then their tool has a field for adding a description! I was just adding some edited copy from the page into this but if it already pulls in an excerpt is there any need ? I take it its a good idea for better control of what's displayed in rich snippet, if so what's suggested wordcount limit ? cheers dan

Hello, The following services site nlpca.com has a store at shop.nlpca.com Would the store be stronger if it was at nlpca.com/store (in a subfolder) and included in the main navigation? The moz bar suggests not but I just want to make sure. Thanks.

Setting Up Title Tags for Multipe Locations and Products
Hi There! So we operate a small offset postcard printing company in Houston. While we are based out of Houston, we market and work with a lot the larger cities around us. So for example Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio are nice sized markets for us. So my question is if i whats the most effective way to structure the title data to market to those areas. Lets take 4 X 6 Postcards at the moment the website loos like Austin 4 X 6 Postcard Printing, Full Color Postcard Prints - nameofcompany.com Each page will have unique content for lets say from the Dallas 4 X 6 Postcard page

Multi-language on multiple domain
Hi, One of my clients has a big duplicate content issue on his site. He has two domain, on for each language (FR and EN) but each domain propose the two languages! Meaning you can reach every page with two URL. Example: http://www.brand-realestate.com/en/luxury/index.html (home page of the default site in english)
On-Page Optimization | | Pherogab
http://www.immobilier-brand.com/en/luxury/index.html (home page of the default site in french after clicking on the english link) Each of the two site has a default language and a link to the other one. When you click the link the page you are on just refresh and the URL stay the same with an added language parameter (ie:http://www.immobilier-brand.com/luxe/index.html?lang=english), then all the link in the navigation switch to the other language. So my question is, is it better to: Keep the two domain and instead of having the two languages on each send the traffic to the domain which has the targeted language by default (on the right page of course) Have both language on one domain and redirect all the pages from the other domain to this one (each page to the corresponding one) Just add a canonical URL on each alternative version of each domain Let me know if I'm clear. Thanks for the help. GaB0
