Additional page listings under main listing in google
-
Hi,
I'm working on the SEO for a site and I'd love to get the additional page links under our main site link in google, any ideas as to how we can achieve this ?
Thanks,
-
The structure of your site will help determine which links are shown once you have sitelinks, but structure alone will not help you get sitelinks in the first place.
Normally sitelinks are your top level pages, so navigation and internal linking to reflect those you most value would place some emphasis on which ones Google may choose to show.

Thanks all,
So the site structure does not have any effect on this just Google's perception of yours sites authority for a particular keyword or phrase ?
Thanks,

Totally agree to Barry's reply here. Its totally on Google whether to show up sitelinks or not.

William,
These are automatic and you can see if you've got them in your WMT under sitelinks. In here you can also delete the ones you don't need etc.
If you're website is relevant enough for a particular subject you should be able to eventually get all variants of your top category pages showing up.
If you're using adwords you can also attach sitelinks to your ads too.

Site links? - http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=47334&topic=8523
Really just a result of getting enough authority (ie links) to your site that the big G deems you worthy of them.
Hard to get them to show for anything except brand terms for a lot of the time but occasionally you can dominate a keyword enough to have them show up.

Why isn't Google caching our pages?
Hi everyone, We have a new content marketing site that allows anyone to publish checklists. Each checklist is being indexed by Google, but Google is not storing a cached version of any of our checklists. Here's an example:

Why some pages show schema and some don't in Google?
I notice Google displays the schema(reviews, price, availability etc.) in results only for some of our item pages in same category using same template. Any ideas why this is happening. They are created around same time - more than a year ago. Schema was also added a year ago.

Client has moved to secured https webpages but non secured http pages are still being indexed in Google. Is this an issue
We are currently working with a client that relaunched their website two months ago to have hypertext transfer protocol secure pages (https) across their entire site architecture. The problem is that their non secure (http) pages are still accessible and being indexed in Google. Here are our concerns: 1. Are co-existing non secure and secure webpages (http and https) considered duplicate content?

2. If these pages are duplicate content should we use 301 redirects or rel canonicals?
3. If we go with rel canonicals, is it okay for a non secure page to have rel canonical to the secure version? Thanks for the advice.0 -

How do Google Site Search pages rank
We have started using Google Site Search (via an XML feed from Google) to power our search engines. So we have a whole load of pages we could link to of the format /search?q=keyword, and we are considering doing away with our more traditional category listing pages (e.g. /biology - not powered by GSS) which account for much of our current natural search landing pages. My question is would the GoogleBot treat these search pages any differently? My fear is it would somehow see them as duplicate search results and downgrade their links. However, since we are coding the XML from GSS into our own HTML format, it may not even be able to tell.
