Tracking a Crawl error
-
Hi All,
If you find a crawl error on your page. How do you find it?
The error only says the URL that is wrong but this is not the location. Can i drill down and find out more information?
Thank you!

Hi Martin,
Thanks for coming back to me.
You are spot on... I think I have been sitting at the desk to long today. Zoned out!
Yep, webtools in google shows the URL in full so I can find it now.
Thanks for your help

Hi Wayne, Just to clarify you are having issues with a crawl error in Webmaster tools, and when you click the url it works fine? You can use tools such as Google Webmaster tools > Fetch as Google bot and input the url to see how Google Bot see's it in HTML. You can also download a text based browser such as Lynx to view your website very similar to how Google bot see's it. It will be very hard to determine a Crawl Path, as if that information was available we could develop trends and get a little closer to their algorithm. Crawler trackers can, on occasion cause hinderence to the crawler.Hope this helps.

60,000 404 errors
Do 404 errors on a large scale really matter? I'm just aware that I now have over 60,000 and was wondering if the community think that I should address them by putting 301 redirects in place. Thanks

How to fix duplicate content errors with Go Daddy Site
I have a friend that uses a free GoDaddy template for his business website. I ran his site through Moz Crawl diagnostics, and wow - 395 errors. Mostly duplicate content and duplicate page title I dug further and found the site was doing this: URL: www.businessname.com/page1.php and the duplicate: businessname.com/page1.php Essentially, the duplicate is missing the www. And it does this 2 hundred times. How do I explain to him what is happening?

It's imposible to keep track of rankings?
Hello, here something interesting I'm Using Rank Tracker from SEOMOZ And from the link-assistant's Rank Tracker as Well... I need to track Google.com and Google.co.ve (venezuela) so I did... i got my keyword an here are my results. 1 Keyword A at google.com (united states) Rank Tracker SEOMOZ = pos 6 Rank Tracker OTHER = pos 6 Manual Query on google.com = 9 (I used the exact url seomoz tells me its using) 2 Keyword A at Google.co.ve Rank Tracker SEOMOZ = pos 8 Rank Tracker OTHER = pos 7 Manual query on google.co.ve = pos 8 So.... Why it's that?, so far I think that google.com for me down here (it actually says "Español") it's a different index? for latinamerica? only spanish pages? maybe it's because there's a couple of minutes between looking with one tool and the other... any help, would be great... Crawl Tool Producing Random URL's
For some reason SEOmoz's crawl tool is returning duplicate content URL's that don't exist on my website. It is returning pages like "mydomain.com/pages/pages/pages/pages/pages/pricing" Nothing like that exists as a URL on my website. Has anyone experienced something similar to this, know what's causing it, or know how I can fix it?
