Yelp, yahoo, local directories..

We are currently in one location and we are moving our office.
Would it be better to leave all the directories and add new listings with the new address? This way we get 2 listings until someone in this address claims a business here.
or
Would it be better to change all the existing to the new address?

Hi Donnie,
If you're vacating the old address and will be located solely in the new office, you need to change all existent listings and citations to reflect your new address. The reason this is so important is that Google can become very confused if they find two sets of NAP (name, address, phone number) for your business and may not trust your new information because the old info is hanging around out there.
As Guy has pointed out, this is a time consuming process. Do a little every day and you can get it done. It really is necessary. Good luck!

No matter what, it is a pain in the butt. We've moved three times and have three different addresses listed all around the web. Tackling this is a huge project and takes a lot of time. I'd suggest worrying only about the big players that show up when you search your brand.
I'd rather have one strong listing versus two listings. Plus, having address listed as some where else can confuse clients as to where to go or mail items.
Good luck.

Your point in having the next business list at your old address is a valid concern. If you are keeping a presence at this old address and opening an additional new address, you do not have to change the existing listings and citations. Simply start building an additional local listing.
If you are moving all together, leaving the old location, you likely will have a lot of work ahead of you. Most importantly, develop a plan on how and when to change your listings to the new address. It is a massive job and you want to be prepared, knowing what and where you need to change when that day comes.
Good luck!

Sub Directories Domain & Page Crawl Depth
Hi, I just bought an old domain with good backlinks and authority, that domain was technology product formerly. So, I want to make this domain for my money site. The purpose of this website is to serve technological information like WordPress tutorial and etc (free software or drivers). And I just installed a sub directory on this domain like https://maindomain.com/subdirectory/ and this directory I made for a free software like graphics drivers download (NVIDIA or AMD). What you think with this website? Is it make sense? Wait, I just added this domain to my campaign at MOZ and the result shown my sub directory was 6 times of crawl depth. Is it good for directory or I need to move the sub directory to my main site? Thank you, hope someone answer my confuse. Best Regard, Matthew.

Directories that Redirect - Do They Pass Link Juice?
I did some searching before asking but could not quite find what I was looking for. There are valid directories out there that provide business as well as links that provide SEO value. My question is whether or not having a redirect in place negates passing any link juice. When I use Open Site Explorer for Old Monterey Inn, this directory (CABBI) does not show up on their list. However, their website dropped from Google Analytics altogether for some time because of an issue in how they built their site. Their "fix" is this redirect which was integrated a short time ago. I do see traffic in Google Analytics now but wonder about the link juice. Example: <a href="[/redirect?type=website&inn=34211&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.oldmontereyinn.com](view-source:https://www.cabbi.com/redirect?type=website&inn=34211&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.oldmontereyinn.com)" target="<a class="attribute-value">_blank</a>">www.oldmontereyinn.coma>p> What say you? Thanks to anyone that responds.

Block subdomain directory in robots.txt
Instead of block an entire sub-domain (fr.sitegeek.com) with robots.txt, we like to block one directory (fr.sitegeek.com/blog).
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | gamesecure
'fr.sitegeek.com/blog' and 'wwww.sitegeek.com/blog' contain the same articles in one language only labels are changed for 'fr' version and we suppose that duplicate content cause problem for SEO. We would like to crawl and index 'www.sitegee.com/blog' articles not 'fr.sitegeek.com/blog'. so, suggest us how to block single sub-domain directory (fr.sitegeek.com/blog) with robot.txt? This is only for blog directory of 'fr' version even all other directories or pages would be crawled and indexed for 'fr' version. Thanks,

Local Showroom Tel Showing Up in SERP for Branded Term Search?
We encountered an issue: when user search for a branded term in UK on Google UK, one of the showroom got listed in SERP under site links as a location with Location icon and takes over a few lines - their address and phone number are displayed. This caused confusion for user as it's only one of our showrooms and we don't want to direct calls to the showroom this way. I'm suspecting somehow the localization factor came into play but not sure how to remove the showroom phone number from being displayed. Anyone has any insight/experience with this? Thanks

Local Competition Analysis
Hi Mozzers, I've been mainly B2B focused, and am used to estimating the amount of work necessary to best competition for organic results, but now I have a local client. I need a method to estimate the amount of work necessary to get listed in the one-box for my chosen queries. Can someone point me in the right direction? Any help appreciated.

Subdomain or New Domain or Directory path?
Hi Mozzers, I have a dilemma here. I have one of my clients that has its American website and would like to promote its business in canada(2 locations only vs more than 40 in the u.s). What would be the best SEO decision here for the 2 Canadian locations: should i go for a new root domain? if yes why (www.example.ca) a new subdomain? if yes why (ca.example.com) or just following a directory path solution under the american site? (www.example.com/canadiancity) Thanks Ty

Any quality Local SEO tools with good reports?
We have used BrightLocal for some time now. With Bright Local we do not like the reports from a qualitative point of view in that the information is often wrong.
