What has happened to pingler.com
-
Hi, i have always been a fan of pingler.com but today i have found that the site is not working and would like to know if anyone else has noticed this. I have heard they have stopped the product being available, can anyone confirm this.
If the product is not available, can anyone recommend a product that does the same thing
-
cheers for that, i will try that. Will have to go to a friends house and use their computer to get the email address
-
They might be blocking you believing you are a bot trying to fetch data. You can maybe send them an email and see why it is showing up that way.
-
it may be blocking my ip address for some reason and if so how do i solve it.
-
That is odd because it is definitely working for me and all my other browsers. Might just have to wait it out or try another PC. But on the good news is that its not closed!
-
just tried to hide my ip address and it works so not sure what is going on
-
just tried it again and cleared my browser and cookies on my mac but still not getting to use it.
I receive the following message
The connection has timed out
The server at pingler.com is taking too long to respond.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web. -
pingler.com is coming up for me. Have you tried another browser or clear your cookies?

Handmadearea.com - anyone know what this is? Bizarre backlinks!
I have noticed just this week a lot of new backlinks from a site called handmadearea.com - for example http://handmadearea.com/url/hp-printer-software-zpe-center/. It looks like the site is somehow stripping my content structure and inserting spam where my content goes. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Should I be worried about it? The backlinks are not showing in Google Webmaster Tools so I can't easily disavow them at this point. Are they likely to be doing me harm? What can I do about them?

Links Building from contractors on eLance.com
Hi, I never hire somebody to create link building to point to our sites. On eLance.com you can hire a SEO contractor to build link our your domaine. New to SEO, is worth it to do so? Is there things I should should be careful about? Things I need to clarify before hiring somebody? Things I need to confirm or ask before hiring such contractors? Most of those ''SEO Expert'' are from India and some have perfect ratings on this site. I have 2 eCommerce sites and we only have a average of 3 sales a day. I can't afford price companies are asking in North America. For a lot less, eLance maybe the solution for our home base business. What is your advice on this? Thank you BigBlaze

MyBlogGuest.com Question
Hi, When a blog owner posts my article with a no-follow tag applied to the anchor text link pointing out I kind of get the feeling as soon as Google indexes this article with that tag applied its game over and that article is now dead, even if the blog owner changes it back to follow after Google has found it. I do a lot of guest blogging and it seems as though when Google first crawls the new content for the first time and follows the link something extra passes through. For example: I guest posted on a blog and the article was 'follow', I sore a increase in rankings for about 3 weeks, then the article got flagged in My Blog Guest that it had been changed and I noticed a no-follow tag had been applied. Ranking dropped back down by the time I had contacted the blog owner and asked him to change it, which he did and still it is follow but I never sore rankings come back, it was like soon as Google had seen the article link was 'nofollow' changing it back made no difference. I could be completely wrong as this is just guessing but its almost like when a link is tampered with it indicates its not a natural link.

How do paid directories like thomasnet.com do so well in the serps? Aren't the Panda updates supposed to be moving us away from this?
With all of the updates/changes to Google's algo, I assumed that paid listings & links like those on thomasnet.com would have less merit. Is this an incorrect assumption?

Should I follow a key competitor onto business.com?
A key competitor of mine has just purchased a link on business.com, my question is should I follow them in? We’re close in terms of Domain Authority and little things can make the difference in our case. Also does the farmer update (which is yet to hit the UK) influenced your answer? As we’re yet to see the effect of this update should I exercise caution?

Domain position on site:domain.com search
Hi, After the last week Google algotithm update, my web site index appears on 4th position when I search for site:www.domain.com If I make a simple search for domain or domain.com it ranks on first position. Is this a sign of a penalty ? What would be the cause ? Thanks
