.com Doman and off-shore host for an Australia company, does this hurt ratings?
-
We have a site based in Australia that has been using the .com domain. Recently the .com.au became available and we purchased it and use a 301 redirect. Does having a site hosted off-shore and a .com rather than .com.au for a company affect the ratings in google.com.au for Australian traffic?
-
I wouldn't take chances. I would host on shore and use the country-specific domain.
How search engines are behavin' today might be very different from tomorrow. So, I would go with what makes logical sense.

Is there another option for User Testing besides Usertesting.com
I loved the presentation Phil Sharp did about A/B testing using User Testing. I would love to use his company UserTesting.com, but their minimum package is for $7500! I'm a small business and certainly cannot afford that. Is there another option for the small business owner?

Does Not listing the prices on my website hurt?
Hey Mozers, I currently run a catalog type website and there are no prices listed. Would you happen to have an article of some sort that could back up why not listing prices is bad? I'm trying to express the importance of listing prices on the website. Can anyone help, The more articles the better!

What do you do with .net after a .com migration?
So my company has gone from .net to .com. I have analytics up and running as well as WMT. I noticed today that on the .com we only had 1 visitor yesterday and 0 today. We have just put out a major press release as well as other PR related things and I'm only seeing slight traffic on the .net. Any ideas? What should I do with the .net in WMTs and Analytics? Do I need to turn something off? Is this normal behavior about a week into a migration?

Would you instinctively mistrust a company that has the top 5 or more search listings?
I have seen a few "lucky"(?) companies dominate spots 1-5 of search results. When I see that, I generally go to #6, 7, or even 10 before clicking. My gut reaction is that the company with 1-5 has manipulated content just to pull me in - much like the guys on the streets of NYC or Vegas shoving handbills at you. Is there any evidence/research/poll about the consumer/user reaction when this occurs?

Seller rating in Serps
Hello everyone, I saw something weird today with my own site in Google: http://www.google.nl/webhp?hl=nl&tab=ww#hl=nl&sclient=psy-ab&q=xenon+h4&fp=534989fd828f8f2e&pws=0 The site you see position one is my site (HIDxenonverlichting.nl), you see the seller rating with the stars, but also nearly 2 rules of price information: ''Prijsklasse: Normale prijs: € 79,99 Tijdelijke prijs € 74,99 Inclusief 21% BTW & Gratis verzending!' At this site i don't even have MicroData installed for the reviews or prices, and i've never seen such a long price description in Google. So i was wondering, how could this happen, because i want this much information also at other product pages of course. But then first need to know how this happened? Regards, Yannick

80% Bounce Rate.. Any ideas why?
I launched at the beginning of the year and get about 7k uniques a month with about 50 or so unique pages. (Just in case sample size is maybe an issue?) Anyhow, here is an example page, it has about 1200 uniques and a bounce rate of 90% http://winefolly.com/update/calories-in-wine/ Any ideas why? A lot of traffic comes from social media right when the post comes out, maybe they are looking and leaving?

Does a .com stop a UK visitor?
Hi, If a E-commerce website based in the UK (and selling products only to the UK) have a .com domain will this stop UK visitors? I kind of getting the feeling some potential visitors might not visit because they feel the website is not UK based because they see the .com. Anyone else had any experience with this?
