Multilingual blog in wordpress needs URL suggestion
-
I am working on a multilingual blog build in WordPress. From the first day I see the URL structure getting abrupt when I add an article in other language.
The following is an example of abrupt URL.
http://muslim-academy.com/%D9%81%D8%B6%D9%84-%D9%82%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%A1%D8%A9-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%82%D8%B1%D8%A2%D9%86-3/is their some plugin to fix it or some manual change?

This is all to do with the technical handling of non ASCII characters and how they have to be presented in the URL. If the browser is set to UTF-8 then it should be able to read the percent encoding. Take a read of these:

I was unable to find a plug-in that will decode your URL however I do have some information on how to fix it
I took your URL and placed it into a decoder and got this
http://muslim-academy.com/فضل-قراءة-القرآن-3/
I'm assuming this is what you want?
here is the link to the decoder
http://www.statmyweb.com/tools/encode_decode/
as far as any plug-in goes this is as close as I could find.
I think reading this will benefit you as well
http://crunchify.com/java-how-to-encode-or-decode-url-string-or-form-parameter/
http://webstartavenue.com/free-widgets/url-decodeencode-widget.html
here is a good example of a website that is able to use the same language you are however also other languages and not have an issue with the encoding of URLs

I hope this can need you in the right direction,
Thomas

Trailing Slashes on URLs
Hi we currently have a site on Wordpress which has two version of each URL trailing slash on URLs and one without it. Example: www.domain.com/page (preferred version - based on link data) www.domain.com/page**/** The non-slash version of the URL has most of the external links pointing to them, so we are going to pick that as the preferred version. However, currently, each version of every URL has rel canonical tag pointing to the non-preferred version. E.g. www.domain.com/page the rel canonical tag is: www.domain.com/page/ What would be the best way to clean up this setup? Cheers.

Suggestions on Link Auditing a 70,000 URL list?
I have a website with nearly 70,000 incoming links, since its a somewhat large site that has been online for 19 years. The rate I was quoted for a link audit from a reputable SEO professional was $2 per, and clearly I don't have $140,000 to spend on a link audit 🙂 !! I was thinking of asking you guys for a tutorial that is the Gold Standard for link auditing checklists - and do it myself. But then I thought maybe its easier to shorten the list by knocking out all the "obviously good" links first. My only concern is that I be 100% certain they are good links. Is there an "easiest approach" to take for shortening this list, so I can give it to a professional to handle the rest?

Blog - subdomain vs. subfolderq
Hi everyone I work on an ecommerce site and I'm trying to get more content together for the site & blog. The development team want to put the blog we have on a subdomain of our site, my question is - what is better for SEO Subfolder vs. subdomain I've read a couple of articles to say subfolder is better and a subdomain needs a lot of management to build up authority itself? Thanks!

Please suggest! Overstuffed URLs - to change, or not to change?
Hello guys, We are in doubts about changing URLs on our http://www.fiberscope.net/ store The site was hit by Google in January and has dropped from top 3 to top 20 for most of its keywords. Now we're working on some redesign, including removing of over optimized content from it. It looks like our categories and content pages URLs are overstuffed with keywords. Here is a dilemma. Should we rewrite them and set up 301 redirect or just leave as is? I look trough the seomoz Q&A and find out that a lot of guys got in troubles after redirecting PLEASE, Suggest!

Internal links to blog posts
I am linking manually to blog posts in my site from my Home page. Our site isn't set up with an auto "Recent Posts" that shows on Home. Should I use the exact blog post title as the anchor text or do I need to create something that is not an exact match to the title of the post?

Plugins to protect Wordpress Blog Posts?
Ive noticed there are quite a few websites copying the content from my site I have in Google news. After speaking to a friend, they told me that there are plugins to help prevent this from happening or leaving some sort of finger print in the copied content. My site uses author tags already. Does anyone have recommendations of plugins to use?

Dynamic URLs Appearing on Google Page 1\. Convert to Static URLs or not?
Hi, I have a client who uses dynamic URLs thoughout his site. For SEO purposes, I've advised him to convert dynamic URLs to static URLs whenever possible. However, the client has a few dynamic URLs that are appearing on Google Page 1 for strategically valuable keywords. For these URLs, is it still worth it to 301 them to static URLs? In this case, what are the potential benefits and/or pitfalls?

Url with hypen or.co?
Given a choice, for your #1 keyword, would you pick a .com with one or two hypens? (chicago-real-estate.com) or a .co with the full name as the url (chicagorealestate.co)? Is there an accepted best practice regarding hypenated urls and/or decent results regarding the effectiveness of the.co? Thank you in advance!
