Rich Snippets - Easy Come / Easy Go!
-
Hi Guys,
I've been trying like mad to get Rich Snippets (star ratings, price, availability) to show for product page results for www.evo.com.
What's very strange is when I test my product page URLs in the Structured Data Testing Tool, the previews look great and the extracted data is what I'd expect. I am however getting "missing price" errors for every item in the Structured Data report in Webmaster Tools - which seems contradictory to what the testing tool shows. The error description says this can prevent Rich Snippets from showing. If anyone here could take a look at the schema.org/Offer markup on one of our product pages and see if they can see anything wrong with our price markup I would greatly appreciate it!
The plot thickens....
What's even stranger is that when I submit product page URLs (that have reviews) to Google's index using Fetch as GoogleBot, the Rich Snippets appear - but then disappear sometime in the following day(s). The only thing I can think of is somehow my Merchant Center feed (which contains "product_review_count" and "product_review_average") which runs nightly is somehow 'breaking' the Rich Snippets that are generated after the page has been crawled.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Hi WiIl,
I believe this issue was resolved on your other thread. Please let me know if not. I see prices and ratings on the sample URL you provided in that thread. Great work on this. Pat yourself on the back and ask for a raise.

SEO benefits/drawbacks of physical address on site.
Simple question - how much of an SEO impact does NOT having a physical address on your site make? I run a photography business based from home. For security reasons I don't really want our home address easily available to the public. I have a Google Maps listing (actually seem to have two at the moment, but that's a different matter) and the full address is logged there but is not viewable publicly - just the surrounding area. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Urgent: Any point having /au version of the website for Australia?
Hi, We just migrated our website from /uk to the global one (but we still kept /us). We are expanding our business to Australia. Is there any point having the global .com site duplicated as .com/au provided the content will be identical? What's the /au impact on the domain strength and rank in Australia in comparison to having just .com. Is there any point? Anyone has direct experience? What's the best practice? Many thanks for the answers. Katarina

For a sitemap.html page, does the URL slug have to be /sitemap?
Also, do you have to have anchors in your sitemap.html? or are naked URLs that link okay?

2015/2016 Sitemaps Exclusions
Hello fellow mozrs!
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | artdivision
Been working on a few Property (Real Estate for our American friends) websites recently and and two questions that constantly come up as we spec the site are: 1. What schema (schema.org) should the website use (throughout all pages as well as individual pages). Did anyone found that schema actually helped with their ranking/CTR?
2. Whilst setting up the sitemaps (usually Yaost is our preferred plugin for the job), what page would you EXCLUDE from the site map? Looking forward to some interesting comments.

Accidental Noindex/Mis-Canonicalisation - Please help!
Hi everybody, I was hoping somebody might be able to help as this is an issue my team and I have never come across before. A client of ours recently migrated to a new site design. 301 redirects were properly implemented and the transition was fairly smooth. However, we realised soon after that a sub-section of pages had either one or both of the following errors: They featured a canonical tag pointing to the wrong page They featured the 'meta noindex' tag After realising this, both the canonicals and the noindex tags were immediately removed. However, Google crawled the site while these were in place and the pages subsequently dropped out of Google's index. We re-submitted the affected pages to Google's index and used WMT to 'Fetch' the pages as Google. We have also since 'allowed' the pages in the robots.txt file as an extra measure. We found that the pages which just had the noindex tag were immediately re-indexed, while the pages which featured the noindex tag and which were mis-canonicalised are still not being re-indexed. Can anyone think of a reason why this might be the case? One of the pages which featured both tags was one of our most important organic landing pages, so we're eager to resolve this. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Internal Search / Faceted Navigation
Hi there, I'm working on an e-learning site with the following content pages: main page, category pages, course pages, author pages, tag pages. We will also have an internal search for users to search by keyword for courses & authors & categories. Is it still recommend to "noindex, follow" and disallow in robots.txt internal search results? Or for a site like this, is it better to use faceted navigation? It seems that faceted navigation is mostly for e-commerce sites. What is the latest thinking on SEO best practices for internal search result pages?
