Hello everyone!
I have 2 questions :
1. does anyone come across this behavior ? (image 1). In the last week Page crawled per day behavior was quite wild and it wasn't affect directly on Time spent downloading a page.
2. I'm getting site map warning for high response time (image 2) i have 29M pages so I aware that 4 warning for 4 pages is almost negligible but still ?
Thanks to all helpers

Hi there.
ok,
-
Large mount of crawled pages doesn't mean that every single page has been fully downloaded NOT from cache. If that would be happening, Google would bankrupt in two days. Most likely Google checks the difference in cached and live page and updates the information, rather than downloading the whole thing every time it crawls a page. That's why there is a "fetch as Google" and limit on crawl pages.
-
It would depend on which pages those are. If it's one of main pages (like index or main service) - it'd be pretty bad. If it's a page, buried under thousands of other pages, then no, it wouldn't be a problem, however, when google does get to that page, you cut yourself that crawl, since Google bots has limited resources per domain. Basically, you'd be wasting bots resources on that non-responsive page.
I'd recommend either fixing it or deleting that page if it's not important.
Cheers.

Massive unexplained organic traffic drop; disappeared from Google
Hi there,
Search Behavior | | katelynroberts
Our site has experienced a huge organic traffic drop, specifically from Google. The drop occurred on Feb 19 and I've got no clue why it happened. We have not made any significant changes to the website and it doesn't look like there was an algorithm update last week. We don't have any Google penalties or indexing issues noted, and the drop isn't specific to any particular segment/region/keyword. What am I missing? Any advice or insight is super duper appreciated. Our site is a Wordpress/WooCommerice e-commerce site with a blog and long-standing #1 ranks for keywords related to our main product offering. Screen Shot 2024-02-26 at 3.12.25 PM.png

Export Google Search Results
I would like to export a list of pages indexed by Google and other search engines. According to our site search with google, we have over 300,000 pages indexed. Anyway to export a list of all of these pages? Tools like ScreamingFrog (which I own a copy of) can crawl your site but does not tell you the pages indexed by a search engine... I've tried using tools that will let you export each page of the results. However, this won't work for a 300K page website. Thanks for your help!

Is there a tool for finding shared interests?
Do you know know if a tool exists that shows shared common interests? For example, people interested in Soccer are also interested in Cricket, beer and Scarlett Johansson. The data might could come from social media or search queries. Anyone seen a tool that does anything like this?

How come this one google places listing is the only one to show up google maps?
Hi there, I found a really weird thing about google places. I'm working on a google places listing optimization for a locksmith company in Houston, TX. When I was searching google maps for "locksmith houston" only one listing came up. However, when searching for "locksmith near houston" 880 results came up. This changes from time to time, but most of the time this one competitor is the only listing that shows up which is really really weird. Anybody has an idea what this competitor did to get rid of the other 879 results and show up alone on google maps??

Why do all traffic curves show a "saw tooth" pattern in Google Analytics
Greetings Mozzers This sounds like a dumb question, but it's bothering me just the same and I would like to think what the fine community of SEO experts at MOZ thinks I have taken a look at the traffic curve for about 20 different sites in very different industries (home improvement, wedding party supplies, pet feeding systems) and it seems to me that they all show a saw tooth pattern, more or less like the one below.

Industry benchmarks stats
Hi Mozzers, Just wondering if someone could point me in the direction of some useful industry benchmarks stats. I'm currently looking at a healthy active living website but trying to find out some average benchmark stats (things like av bounce rate, av time on site, pages per visit etc) for this sector so I can compare this with the site analytics. Having had a look around I can't find a great deal out there relating to average benchmark stats for this sector. Your help greatly appreciated. Thanks Simon
