Tracking Facebook Mobile Visits to Desktop Conversions?
-
Hi.
If I set an ad in Facebook, I can obviously track visits, conversions and so on from that ad and see if they where mobile or desktop.
However, how do I, if possible track a mobile visitor who the converts on a desktop?
Eg. I go on XXX Facebook Ad on my mobile whilst in work, look around. Like what I see. Then I go home from work, open my laptopn and go on XXX website and send an email enquiry form in.
Is this possible to track?
Thanks

Hi there, that's a great question. Unfortunately, as far as I'm aware, this would be difficult to implement; the only way I know of to do this is with cross device tracking via user ID in Google Analytics (Universal Analytics implementation). But that would only work if the user had logged in both on the mobile device and later on the desktop device. You could do a rough estimation of the FB driven later conversions by tracking micro conversions on mobile and then trying to correlate those with macro conversions on desktop, or something like that. But it wouldn't be very precise. Of course if there is a way of doing this more effectively that I'm simply not familiar with I would love to find out!
On a sidenote, it's worth noting that it's important to ensure that whenever you run a Facebook campaign, you tag it with the UTM tracking parameters, otherwise GA will likely misattribute it as direct traffic.

Email Campaign Tracking within Domain & Subdomains
What is the best process to track conversions/visits in Google Analytics when running an email campaign that links to both a sub-domain and then the main domain? To elaborate further, we have an email marketing campaign that directs users to a subdomain (e.g. promos.website.com) within the subdomain we include our products. Once a user clicks on the promos, they are taken to our main website (e.g website.product1.com). What is the best process to track conversions from this email campaign that leads users to the sub-domain first, then to the main site (where the conversions take place)? We have URL tagging in the Email Campaign - but not able to see the true conversions show up in Analytics on the main site. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Suggestions to Improve Worst Conversion Form Ever Designed?
My commercial real estate web site has about the worst conversion form ever designed (http://www.nyc-officespace-leader.com/visitor-details). The form appears whenever a visitor does a property search. If they do not release their phone number and email address they don't get results. The form only gets completed 25% of the time and often the contact details are wrong. The visitors either exit the site at that page or go to the listing or neighborhood pages to view listings without doing a filtered search. In an attempt to increase conversions we are softening the form and not making completion mandatory. After entering an inquiry the visitor will be shown three property listings before the form pops up, The idea being that once they have seen product they will be more inclined to release contact info. Also, the form will appear once they have viewed three listings anywhere on the site, not just for search results. Unlike the existing conversion form (http://www.nyc-officespace-leader.com/visitor-details) we are trying to keep the text very concise. The new form will be Java script rather than a URL. Can anyone offer some ideas on how to make the text of these new forms more enticing? The forms are listed below. We will probably show the first one after the visitor views 3 listings and the variation of it after the visitor views another 3 listings. ** FORM #1** Quit wasting time searching for listings. (watch icon) Call me to discuss available space. Yes No --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FORM #2 Don’t search for listings, we will do it for you. We have off market listings that no one knows about. Contact us now about off market listings. Yes No ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks, Alan

Tracking homepage visits
Hi Mozzers, I run a website that has some buttons on the homepage. These URL's are not unique as they are accessible from the nav bar at the top of the page. I want to see the conversion rate of the homepage buttons. Is this possible? I currently use Crazy Egg to see how many people are clicking on the buttons but I want more information as I'm sure whether they are converting. Thanks, Karl

Any tips and tricks to increase Conversion Rates on Google PLA?
I have recently organized my Adwords (Product Listing Ads) campaign according to this link: http://certifiedknowledge.org/blog/how-to-create-a-state-of-the-art-pla-campaign While I like the organization and control this provides, my fundamental concern is to increase conversions. I understand conversions are dependent on other factors such as landing pages etc. Are there any Google Adwords tips someone has had success with to increase CTR and increase conversion rates? Pating $10/day to Google Adwords while only getting a sporadic business every 3 days is getting a bit frustrating. Are there any tools in MOZ that can help find faults and generate simple reports on the Google Adwords campaign? Any help is much appreciated.

How can I track the traffic source/keyword of form submissions?
I'm using Google Analytics on www.nhfinehomes.com and would like to track the source of leads submitted via form submissions. Ideally, I could track if the lead originated from organic search (and what keyword phrase), PPC, referral links, etc. Is this possible with Google Analytics and if so, can anyone point to some documentation on how to do this or better yet someone who can help me set this up? This site is running ASP.NET and uses JQuery so there is not a 'traditional' thank you page that I can reference. I'm not a programmer and do not pretend to be one! Thanks in advance. Link

Need help Tracking PPC vs Organic and respective ROI
So I have a client who uses PPC and Organic SEO to drive traffic. Once a user gets to the site, the most common action is to fill out a form. I have Auto Tagging enabled in Adwords so all PPC clicks have "gclid" in the url. I am also grabbing the Google Cookie and parsing it out to determine if the visitor is PPC or Organic. So I have an if statement in my form code to pass PPC vs organic through the form for tracking purposes: $url = 'http://' . $_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'] . $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']; if (false !== strpos($url,'gclid')) { ?> Essentially this is saying: If gclid is in the url, or if the cookie contains PPC
