How do I find the best converting keywords
-
I rank decently on local search for some of my keywords but find that the traffic coming to my site is not from those keywords. I also find that they never convert to sales queries.
Is someone able to help me out with that?
Thanks
My domain is www.hykano.com

We are doing well on web design business durbanbut just not getting conversions.
-
what are the KW's you are ranking well in? Your busness is very comp here in the US anyhow...
-
Hey Nigel, that's exactly what I would like to do... just not too sure how. there is tons of opportunity, I just need to find out how to get in there.
I'm in Durban, South Africa which is even more niche and full of opportunity!!
Really appreciate your help!

Have you conducted a keyword research for the keywords that do have a traffic in your region?
You can select South Africa as a location in Google Traffic Estimator. Perhaps it's worth looking in there for some opportunities? It seems there is some traffic for the long tail phrases surrounding website desginers?
-
Hey Nigel, My biggest problem here in South Africa is that our traffic numbers are so low. I only get about 200 visits a month if that. Some are on the keywords I like and some are on some really long-winded arbitrary ones. I really feel like I'm flying a little blind here...

Hi Simon,
Do you have analytics tracking set up for your website? This will be the easiest way of working out which keywords are currently converting but have low traffic so you can focus your efforts on those.
In order to find these keywords you will need to go to Traffic Sources > Keywords. These will be split into paid and non-paid. The non-paid will be displaying the organic searches that are sending traffic, with ecommerce tracking set up correctly you'll be able to see which keywords are converting.
In terms of keywords that you are not currently ranking for but you wish to see the conversion rates for, this is quite difficult as conversion rates will vary from site to site. It is therefore difficult to produce a global list.
Hope this was of some help!

What a Brand should do first for Their Blog Keyword Research or Topic Research?
Hello Moz Community, Need your help guys. What a Brand should do first for their Blog? Keyword Research or Topic Research? Like for the Brand Product page/ eCom Pages, it's quite easy > 1. Buy "Product" Online
Competitive Research | | Max_
2. Buy "Product" "Geo."
3. Product Reviews [for Guest Posting or Reviews]
4. Best "Product" Online and so But, for the blog, it's tough for searching out the keywords that will work if the SEO team or the keyword research team is not aware or don't have the detailed knowledge about the niche they are working on. Please verify: Is it a correct method that an editor should provide a "topic" to the SEO team to find relevant keywords by using a Keyword Research tool that there are enough searches for it which can provide benefits to the blog via the search engine.0 -

How much keyword density for Google?
I have several pages on one site which have gone down during the past few months. They keyword density on those pages, which is not unnatural, pleased Google for many years. it still pleases Bing. But Google now seems very picky. Based upon your experience, what is the ideal % keyword density for 2 and 3 word phrases, and should they be left out of alt tags even when proper to put them there? While Google dominates, we do not wish to alienate BIng/Yahoo. It is a huge mystery, and experimentation with more non-keyword-related text has so far not born any fruit. Thank you, GH

Why do keyword competition rankings differ between Google and SeoMoz?
I am a novice at keyword ranking etc. so I appreciate your patience! I checked a longtail keyword - how do i get out of this relationship - in Google AdWords and it came back 'low competition.' When I entered it in SeoMoz it came back as 'very competitive.' Any thoughts? I appreciate your help.

Keyword Trouble
Having the worse time trying to figure out what keywords to use on my website. Run a E commerce site and we sell HID lighting and aftermarket Lighting or High Intensity discharge lighting. Now when thinking about why people would come to our site...the obvious reason would be to buy HID kits. BUT here is the problem, Every keyword that i throw into the seoMoz keyword difficulty tool or any other tool whether its Google or whatever comes back as super high competition for that word. Now i find low comp words but they don't really relate to my site and could kill my bounce rate percentage. Not sure what i could do or if anyone has any tips that can point me in the right directions. It sounds like i am going to have to muscle my way through this one. Any help please guys.

Best methodology for creating local keywords when Google has no data?
Generally I'll look at data for specific geographical searches and incorporate the data from the other keywords, then track the metrics. I think there is likely a more efficient system but I'm not sure where to start.
