I think my site's HTML is good but I get 22 Invalid markup erros?

Most are all related to things like facebook like buttons and such. I'm using DOCTYPE 4.01 Traditional but no good. Any ideas?

In your section you have some errors and so cleaning them up will get your code valid. Here is what you have:
At the end of each of these meta and link elements you need the closing / which is not there. So instead of ending them all with > you end them all with /> instead. That will fix a lot.
Also, you have this in your head section which doesn't belong:
Just delete it. You can't have a div in the head section. You also have a

Thanks guys. I've taken out the itemprop things because I think you're right Daniel. I can't remember where I got those but I don't think they were being used right.
Nghirniac thanks for the link to the check list. I did have that already and use it a good bit.
None of the corrections really made much of a difference thought so I changed the DOCTYPE to several different ones and that only created more errors. Are there just some things that the WC3 tool will find to be incorrect no matter what?

Did you take a look at The web developers seo cheat sheet? I might help you. Its a very cleaver sheet giving you easy steps to review your website.

Couple little things you want to take care of that should fix a lot of what is going on. Any element in the section that opens with at the end of it. Your itemprop things for example are not closed properly, so that makes the validator think things that follow it are incorrect.

Howdy Moz friends. I've just been checking out this post on Moz from 2011 and wanted to know how relevant it is today? I'm particularly interested in a number of links we have on our HP potentially harming important landing page rankings because not enough 'link juice is getting to them i.e) are they are being diluted by all the many other links on the page? (deeper pages, faqs, etc etc) It seems strange to me that as Google as has got more sophisticated this would still be that relevant (thus the reason for posting). Anyway, I thought I was definitely worth asking. If we can leverage more out of our on-page efforts then great 🙂

Can I robots.txt an entire site to get rid of Duplicate content?
I am in the process of implementing Zendesk and will have two separate Zendesk sites with the same content to serve two separate user groups (for the same product-- B2B and B2C). Zendesk does not allow me the option to changed canonicals (nor meta tags). If I robots.txt one of the Zendesk sites, will that cover me for duplicate content with Google? Is that a good option? Is there a better option. I will also have to change some of the canonicals on my site (mysite.com) to use the zendesk canonicals (zendesk.mysite.com) to avoid duplicate content. Will I lose ranking by changing the established page canonicals on my site go to the new subdomain (only option offered through Zendesk)? Thank you.

Html to wordpress
I have an html site and most of my pages are ranking well. I want to switch to wordpress but i am afraid that i will loose ranking on my inner pages. Any thoughts? And should i do a redirect or use a html plugin

Site restructure question
Our site was deigned years ago to target customers in specific cities, now we've grown beyond this and I believe it is time to change the site structure.

Ignore the 302 from the root page. Current structure: (assuming you've never been to our site before) projectmanagementacademy.net 302->/select-location.php /select-location.php -> /city-name/pmp-training.php This page was meant to be a "homepage" for each city, pointless page really /city-name/pmp-training.php -> /ciy-name/product-name.php These pages are for each individual product My suggested site structure: /city-name/pmp-training.php becomes projectmanagementacademy.net no more redirect /city-name/pmp-training.php gets removed and 301 to root page. /product-name.php each product's page and you would select a location when necessary (some products are online only) would 301 each /city-name/product-name to corresponding product page /product-name/city-name.php could add these pages if we still wanted the city name in url for city specific products My thoughts here are /product-name.php would receive a higher % of link juice because there are fewer page between 2 vs 4 if you came to the root page. and 2 vs 3 if you came from the select-location page. Also instead of being split between over 50 locations, all these would be together on one page. Your thoughts? Would this change improve our SERP for those product pages? Would we see a drop off in traffic if we did this? How long, if done correctly, would it take to see the recovery of rankings and traffic? Could we 301 /select-location.php to the root page? Sister Sites or Joint Family?
A large News Media Group has a Tv Channel, print newspaper, radio channel (for music primarly) and an online website that includes the newspaper content and other original content in different media. My question is, is it better to have independant websites for these different mediums or have all the content on one big website. Currently the newspaper and blog are online as one whereas the radio channel has its own website and the television has its own. So should we maintain sister sites and cross link to each other or have one big happy family under one house? Best, Rishad.
