Which is better? Google Data Highlighter or Schema markup?
-
Thanks in advance!
-
If you use Schema.org, you don't have to use Schema Highlighter... it should doing things twice.
Use that time for something else

Thanks Gianluca! Last question, is it ok if I use Google Data Highlighter after implementing schema markups in my website?
Thanks in advance!
-
The Highlighter is good if you don't have direct access to the code or for not to complex things... or if you are a small business and don't have the time and the budget for an a dev implementing Schema.org.
Said that, if it is possible, I prefer to use Schema.org.

It is the common standard for all the major search engines;
-
Google, when refers to structured data, always refers to Schema.org. Take as an example the in-depth article. In its post, Google explain how to use the Schema.org article mark up - within other things - for having an opportunity to appear in that blend. At first you could think that "article" is one of the Highlighter option, but it fails and misses some of the Schema.org labels.

From my understanding you can use both. I would, Google likes it when people use Google's products and idea's. But at the same time Bing does not work with Google data highlighter, so I would try to use both.

Product Schema & Google Guidelines
Hi We have product mark up on our site, data-vocab rather than schema. I can't see it showing in Google SERPs, but when testing it appears to be correct. Are Google still selective with what schema they show for a site? Thanks

Google Rankings Are Dancing What To Do?
I was been ranking on page no.3 for many of my keywords. Suddenly they all dropped to Page No.9& Page no.10. Now 10 days back one of my keyword got back to page no.4 & now suddenly today it went back to page no.9 again. I haven't done any changes to the site. My page speed is less than 4secs. Checked everything & all seems fine. No errors or manual actions notification in Webmaster too. Should i wait for the rankings dance to get over or should i start doing something. Currently i am planning to get fresh pages with good content added to the website for the whole month of July. Suggest me what to do?

Microdata and dinamic data.
Hi, everybody! We're starting up a local services website in Brazil. Something like redbeacon.com or thumbtack.com, but obviously different. So we are developing our 2.0 version of the site, and I want do put microdata in every provider's pages, to rank people's evaluation about this particular provider, and geographic information about him. Ok, we want to use microdata in several pages, but those are more important: the providers. These data (geo and rank) will be dynamically generated from our database. In Schema.org, I only found information about using static data to build microdata for my intentions. My doubt is: does google and bing and yahoo and etc index dynamic generated data? Is there something about sitemaps.xml or robots.txt that I can do to have my data indexed on search engines? Our front-end is the guy who deal with html and our codemaster uses pure php for coding. Thanks!

Usage of Schema.org Microdata?
I am trying to figure out the correct usage of Schema.org for a business. Example: http://schema.org/Restaurant There is information like opening times or payments accepted. Would you populate this data within meta tags on every page (i.e. in the header) or really target specific pages? This could also apply to general info such as address, contact details, etc.. Interested in hearing your thoughts 🙂 Cheers Noel
