Can building quality links on internal pages help us to improve DA?
-
Dear expert,
I hope that you all are fine
Today, I am very confused about improving DA of my client website. For example: He has a domain www.abc.com
and he wants me to build a backlinks on different internal pages like
www.abc.com/service-1
www.abc.com/service-2
www.abc.com/service-3If i build high quality links on internal pages (service pages) rather than building links on main domain (home page). Does the Domain Authority will increase
OR
I have to build links on Main page to boost the DAI am hoping a positive reply from your side
Thanks

Sorry about misunderstanding what you said. Yes but I'm building links to your entire site you will increase your domain authority it is not wise to intentionally build all the links to one page even if it is your homepage. And that would not help your domain authority as much as if you did it across your site.
Sorry for the misunderstanding,
sincerely
Tom

I honestly believe that Domain Authority is a decoy that takes you away from the basics of making a great website, the basics of winning on the web, and the basics of making money.
If you spend your energy on making a great website, making money, and winning on the web then you will have something tangible for your efforts.
If you instead spend your time chasing..... What can I do to get high DA??... then the energy that you spend is inefficient.
Working to build high DA will not directly make your website great, make you win on the web, or make you buckets of money. Chasing high DA when your goal is something else is like trying to kill a rabbit with a ricochet.
So instead of shooting at a rock with the hope that your bullet will bounce off and kill the rabbit, you should instead just shoot that rabbit.
DA worship is not a good use of your time.

I think everyone is giving you a good idea about domain authority and I am going to try to answer your question best I think I can about what you're asking whether building internal links is going to help drive traffic to your site or increase page authority/domain authority which are different things just call them page rank for right now.
Majestic and Link Research Tools have some amazing information out there but I don't want to bog you down I want to help you strengthen your internal site structure.
So does Bill Slawski https://www.seobythesea.com/2020/04/pagerank-2020/

Having been a Moz member since before they invented such a thing as "domain authority" I've had quite a bit of time to digest its relevance to our job as SEOs. I would answer your question like this:
Domain authority is some accumulation of all the authority built up by all the pages (PA) on the site. PA is determined by taking into account numerous on-PAGE and off-PAGEe factors. DA is determined by taking into account the accumulated on-SITE and off-SITE factors of all the pages.
So, back links to internal pages will help the page authority of the linked-to page and help the overall domain authority. It won't help (nearly as much) the PA of other individual pages on the site.
That's my simplified approach to understanding it.

First of all, I would like to say thanks for your fast response.
I think you did not get my point, My point was clear about creating external quality backlinks on services pages except home page. This will help us to increase our website DA.
For Example: we have a website www.abc.com
we are continuously building links on its service page like
www.abc.com/service
It will increase DA of our website OR we have to build backlinks on home page only.Case Study #1
500 High Quality External Backlinks on www.abc.comCase Study #2
500 High Quality External Backlinks on www.abc.com/serviceWhat casestudy help us to increase DA
I hope you got my point now
Thanks

Hi there!
So, Internal Links will influence your Page Authority, but to increase your DA you will want to focus on External Links.
To understand how to improve DA (Domain Authority) it can help to get some insight into how we gather our data, which I'll include below. Sorry in advance for the long message!
To calculate DA, we index the web by following links using a crawler. Our crawler is built on a machine-learning based model that is optimized to select pages like those that appear in our collection of Google SERPs. We feed the machine learning model with features of the URL like the backlink counts for the URL and the PLD (pay-level domains), features about the URL like its length and how many subdirectories it has, and features on the quality of the domains linking to the URL and PLD. So, it's not based on any one particular metric, but we're training the crawler to start with high-value links.
In terms of improving your Domain Authority, with the information above in mind, it's best to look at both you on-page SEO to make sure you've covered the basics.
Then you also want to look at your off-site SEO and building more links more links to your site.
There are lots of different areas of Link Building to explore, from patching up broken links, improving your internal link profile, and good ol' fashioned content creation.
Here is a great video by our founder Rand which goes over some easy link building tactics to get you started.
I hope that helps to start you off! Let me know if you have any other questions :]

Why page load time is different in google webmaster vs what is displayed in moz?
When I analyze the site through Moz tool and compare the results with google webmaster, I am not able to figure what why Moz does not report the slow pages. Fro example this page has an avrage LCP of 3.0 sec https://www.collegehippo.com/graduate-school/programs/gre-score-business-analytics-data-analytics When I see the report in moz, it does not point to any such issue. Should I be worried about what google reports and try to fix the page?

How can I find duplicate pages from a Moz Crawl?
We have many duplicate pages that show up on the Moz Crawl, and we're trying to fix these but it's very difficult because I can't see a way to isolate the code where the duplicate is found. For instance, http://experiencemission.org/immersion/ is one of our main pages, and the crawl shows one duplicate of http://experiencemission.org/immersion. It appears that one of our staff manually edited the source code in one of our pages but forgot the trailing slash. This would be an easy fix but the problem is that this page is linked to internally on our website 2423 times, so it's next to impossible to find the code that is incorrect. We have many other pages with this same basic problem. We know we have duplicates, but it's next to impossible to isolate them. So my question is this: When viewing the Moz Crawl data is there any way to see where a specific duplicate page link is located on our website? Thanks for any and all help!

Can't download mozbar
Fine, I'm an idiot. But when i get that Chrome apps page with mozbar on it, there's nothing clickable (that I can see) that actually downloads the thing. I've gotten it before, but now I can't find it. Is it hiding. Why doesn't it just sit in my dock? Any ideas. -W
