Is the search volume insight in Bing more accurate as it is in Google?
-
Does anybody know if Search volume insight in Bing is more accurate than it is in Google?
Moz is showing Search Volume insight in Bing now (not sure about the reason, probably Moz has no access to Google? Or is it because it is more accurate?)
For some words I have my doubts about the Google Keyword Tool. I don't know about Bing.
For the first time I compare two words on Bing with Google I found out the ratio in Bing is very different compared with Google.Example:
When you check out the words: espressomachine and koffiemachine
**Google, local search in the Netherlands: **
espressomachine: 6600
koffiemachine: 8100
Bing, local search in the Netherlands:
espressomachine: 549
koffiemachine: 361So..., are Bing users typical kind of users who uses other search phrases?
Or... is one of these two more accurate?Does anybody know?

Both Google + Bing should be fairly accurate coming directly from the actual companies data.

So..., are Bing users typical kind of users who uses other search phrases? Could very well be true.

The fact that there in this case and for most people as well about 10x more search volume is definitely part of the issue.
Hope this helps

Hi there,
It would not be good to compare the search volume figures of Google and Bing. Looking at the difference in the market share of these two search engines, the search volumes will definitely vary by a large scale. Coming to the accuracy, my experience has been good with both Bing and Google. The search volume numbers that they churn out are based on the queries that they each get respectively and obviously, Google will have a higher number because of its market share. Hope it helps.
Best,
Devanur Rafi.

Site "Internal" Search Full-Text Indexing vs. Manual Tagging
I’m looking for recommendations on how to power site search in an efficient way. Ideally, I would like to get recommendations on platforms, tools, trends, technology and resources. This discussion does not really refer to SEO or site search optimization. It is more related to the technology used to power site search. I would like to get an idea on the differences between full-text indexing site search and site search that requires manual tagging.

Bing, what does it take?
Hi there, I have been optimizing my website for Google over the past year or so, and now have around 50 keywords or so, moderate/highly competitive keywords on page 1, however there are a few keywords which I have been trying to optimize for which I am finding it difficult getting these keywords onto page 1. However I just noticed through analytics that I am getting quite a bit of traffic through Bing on these keywords, so I thought I would take a look to see where I was ranking for these keywords and to my surprise top 5 for which these keywords. So the question is, what does it take to rank high in Bing? as my results are so different when comparing my Google results to Bing. Thanks
