Disavow or not? Negative SEO
-
Since last November we have been receiving a lot of low quality backlinks from over 700 websites.
It looks like one of our pages from our website has been copied with the links being kept as they are. I have left a link to an example of this here: https://goo.gl/eWQODJ Please note, all examples seem to be copied in the same way.
We have also started seeing a decrease in the amount of organic traffic (Analytics Picture), As you can see the decrease is not yet so drastically high, but it is still a decrease and this is the third consecutive month we have seen this decrease.
Do you think it is worth it to use Disavow tool for all of these bad link or not?

Funnily, I saw this topic pop up yesterday on twitter. The advice is to still disavow:

Disavow is a powerful tool and using it is something you should be certain of, but it sounds like it would be the right choice in your case.
The disavow file is something you should always keep on top of; it's better to add 2 or 3 domains so that you can attribute results to changes made than adding 700 domains at once as it may be more difficult to pin point exactly which domains affected you negatively.

You can also file DMCA against the sites that are stealing the content - and if they are running Adsense ads, complain there too while you are at it.
If there are a lot of sites copying this content you can easily file DMCA reports rapid-fire using the "Copyright Removal" form in your Search Console.
https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/dmca-dashboard
Fill out the form, submit, use the back button, change a couple lines of the form and submit again. Adsense complains can be filed by clicking the information link in the ad and navigating to the complaint form. Very easy to file these quickly too.
Before you start filing DMCA rapid fire, and getting their adsense turned off, be sure you have a clear understanding of copyright law. Google is required to tell them "who done it". That means that the website owner is going to get your name as the person who had their site whacked. They can sue you if you are making wildass complaints. One meeting with an IP attorney to explain your situation and hear his/her cautions might be adequate.

Hello there!
If you are the responsible for that site SEO and you spot potential harm in those backlinks then you should not wait to disavow them.
Keep in mind that it is possible that the keyword dropping might no be because of those backlinks only, I do suggest you to do a full check in that site SEO.Best luck.

Let me explain my confusion:
I’ve checked backlink profile of a website. He is not using his main domain while doing comment backlink. He put his another domain while doing comment backlink. The another domain redirect to the main domain. Why he use another domain while doing comment backlink?
Is it helpful to get better rank on Google? For example: My Main Domain = solutionfall.com
Another Domain= xyz.com (It redirect to solutionfall.com)
He just uses xyz.com while doing comment backlink. Thank You so much1 -
Are businesses still hiring SEO that use strategies that could lead to a Google penalty?
Is anyone worried that businesses know so little about SEO that they are continuing to hire SEO consultants that use strategies that could land the website with a Google penalty? I ask because we did some research with businesses and found the results worrying: blog farms, over optimised anchor text. We will be releasing the data later this week, but wondered if it something for the SEO community to worry about and what can be done about it.

PDF Sharing sites - scribd/dropbox/edocr/etc Cleaning Up SEO History
Howdy, Whilst in the process of cleaning up a new clients seo profile and have encountered a lot of techniques I am uncomfortable with and in my opinion should be removed. One technique I have not seen before is using a load of pdf sharing and video sites. The domains have high DA ratings, but to me the intention is highly questionable. The sites include: https://www.dropbox.com/s/tuxb8w1qowcm27i/Looking for boiler spares-geniune parts and consumables.pdf?dl=0 http://www.scribd.com/doc/241542076/Looking-for-Boiler-Spares-geniune-Parts-and-Consumables http://www.divshare.com/download/26207602-569 And so the list goes on for about 50 domains. Am I correct to be concerned here and what was the seo plan here? Thanks in advance. Andy Southall. (Marz Ventures)

Disavow - Broken links
I have a client who dealt with an SEO that created not great links for their site. http://www.golfamigos.co.uk/ When I drilled down in opensiteexplorer there are quite a few links where the sites do not exist anymore - so I thought I could test out Disavow out on them .. maybe just about 6 - then we are building good quality links to try and tackle this problem with a more positive approach. I just wondered what the consensus was?

UK SEO Agency Recommendations
Hi, I am currently looking for a new SEO agency to manage strategies on 3 websites, budget of about £15k pm in total. Any recommendations would be really appreciated as trying to navigate through all the usual sales waffle and hollow promises of most SEO agencies is becoming rather difficult. Thanks

Mobile SEO best practices : Should my mobile website be located at m.domain.com or domain.com/mobile?
I'd like to know if there's any difference between using m.domain.com/pages or domain.com/mobile/pages for a mobile website? Which one is better? Why? Does Google treat the two differently? As you can see, I'm new to this! This is my first time working on a mobile website, so any links/resources would be highly appreciated. Thanks!
