How quickly should one add content?
-
I'm building a content site (the model is AdSense revenue) around a certain niche, and I'm currently paying for about 6 articles to be contributed per week. I have the capacity to be paying for a lot more articles, however, so I'm wondering what, if any, factors exist to recommend building the site up slowly as opposed to throwing on e.g. 100 articles over the next week? Those I can think of are:
1. Going slowly leaves room for better keyword optimization etc.
2. Google seems to favor aged domains/content, so 100 good articles now certainly isn't as advantageous as 100 articles 2 years from now.
All that being said, I still feel like the benefit in terms of traffic of adding more content now - since I can - might outweigh these considerations. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Yo! When you have content you are sitting on money.... put it to work as soon as you can!
1. Going slowly leaves room for better keyword optimization etc.
huh? Just do it!
2. Google seems to favor aged domains/content, so 100 good articles now certainly isn't as advantageous as 100 articles 2 years from now.
What? We are not talking about aging cheese... get it out in public view right away!
Here's the only concern that I have about what you have posted.... it seems like you have a factory that can crank out 100 articles quickly..... I would rather have one fantastic article than 50 that have been spun or written quickly by people who are not expert expert on the topic.

By keyword optimization I just meant looking at the traffic based on a smaler number of articles and making better future selections based on which keywords were performing the best etc.
This was a nice answer, thanks. I was curious how you saw RSS syndication as helping to ensure articles will be indexed as quickly as possible?

I am a true believer that if you are adding valuable content you should publish as much of it as quickly as you can. Now that being said 100 articles in your back pocket is quite a few. Will publishing it raise any red flags with Google, not likely, will it help your organic traffic, absolutely.
I don't know understand your comment about better keyword optimization. As long as the articles are structured properly from the get-go and you aren't just spinning or duplicating articles the keyword optimization should come quite naturally.
From my experience Google does favor domains that can stand the test of time. However, the freshness update may have something to say about that. Also from personal experience, great links to your content far outweight the content's age.
The two things I would focus on from an SEO perspective are 1. Ensuring your articles are going to be indexed as quickly as possible (ie. Sitemap, Google Webmasters Verifications, RSS Syndication, ect) and 2. Build an outreach program to distribute your content to your eager readers. That way you will generate links, visits, and have your content indexed.

Writing <200 word pieces of content in a 7.5 hour day
My employer has a content writer who is currently working on writing unique descriptions for many pages, on the order of around 150-200 words per piece of content. A recurring theme in this content is to write a list of features such as "it does X, X, X, X, X and X", which can sometimes happen a couple of times during the content and takes up a decent chunk of wording. This content does not require in-depth research over and above reading the about us page of some sites and looking at what services they provide, as well as some quick details like their payment and delivery methods etc. As well as that the writer also writes the Meta Description and then uploads these to a CMS. There are no other tasks. Considering the writer is doing this 5 days a week, 7.5 hours a day, and isn't getting paid a poor or trainee-type wage, what would you say would be an acceptable amount to achieve on the average day? The current average works out to around, or slightly less than 8 of these pieces of content each day. Thoughts?

How do you find your ideas for content
Morning Mozzers, We have finally come to the point where we can start to focus on making good original content. We were wondering how you guys come up with ideas for your content. We are currently doing lots of keyword research to gather ideas and subject areas. But we are struggling with 'angles of attack'. Being an eCommerce site it is easy to do lots of "The 5 best products for this" type of content. But we feel there is limited value in these especially if we want to gain links to our articles in future as valued content. How do you come up with your ideas for more valuable and linkable content especially in very niche product areas. Thanks all.

Knowledge base for seo, announcing new articles on blog (dupe content)
Hi all, Im thinking of creating a knowledge base with all many asked questions in my company. This could be a great Link-bait source but also nice ranking opportunities i think. But sometimes some new articles are so actual that i also want to blog them.

Content Curation & Newsjacking
Greetings everyone! Its my first post, and I had a question in regards to content curation & newsjacking. I tried to dig around the forum a bit prior to posting this, but havent really found much that covered this topic specifically, but I was wondering if there is anyone here who currently does this, and if so, are there any tips that you'd be willing to share with someone who's just getting into it? Thanks

Duplicate Pages Different Content
Will duplicate pages different content hurt rankings/seo E-commerce Site is plugin style with WYSIWYG editor allowing for full customization, all pages are setup with basic default content. Ive created custom pages with content/keywords to begin seo on them I have two pages www.domain.com/sports/hockey and www.domain.com/nhl-tickets The first url is default, with a single H1tag, + Default Meta+Title tags, the second is the content rich page, and structured properly, both of which show up on the site, should I block the first url from displaying at all? The reason I am asking is because ive also setup breadcrumb links, which makes all of these category url's accessible on the site, I cannot edit breadcrumb links, we can either have them there or remove them. Thank you Very Much!!

Question - Hidden Content via 'Read More;'
Hi, Does having text in hidden areas (that are expandable with a button) harm their value in SEO? E.g. there are 'read more' areas on the homepage of this site that have content that is not accessible otherwise. Does this content have the same weight when it is hidden versus if this whole area was visible? http://goo.gl/QQvAZ
