Will google believe my website has plagiarised if I publish news that is published on a newswire?

I use newswires to publish press releases or articles for clients. Almost all are published on one site such as PRWeb and picked up by newspapers/publishers. Each of these pieces reference the source as PRWeb (for example).
Each press release is then added to the company website. Do I run the risk of search engines believing this to be plagiarised if not referenced to the 'original source' being PR Web?

Thanks Irving, thats good advice. A few of the distribution sites take 48 hours to be approved so will have plenty of time to get the website indexed first.

We had a site that was republishing lots of government and university press releases. The rankings fell across the domain during one of the Panda updates. We deleted lots of the old releases that were not popular with our visitors and placed noindex/follow on the rest. After doing that the site recovered nicely. The only loss was search traffic into those noindexed releases.
Another site had hundreds of html pages with .pdfs of similar content posted so that we could control the appearance of printed copies. That site took a Panda hit but recovered after we used .htaccess to noindex/follow the .pdf documents.

Agreed. We just brought on a client who was hit by Panda because they were essentially plagerizing their own content. Meaning they would post the same exact full press release on their site that they would publish elsewhere. And they have 100s of these press releases. What we're doing to help is going through them all and cutting most of the content and including a link to the press release site as "Read full story"

If the same article exists on lots of websites google will likely do two things......

Filter some copies of that article from being displayed in the SERPs (they don't want the searcher clicking into the same stuff six times from the first SERP. The ones that are filtered are usually the copies on less powerful domains. It does not matter if they are the original source, or published first.

Some sites that have lots of these duplicate content articles posted on them will be hit by Panda problems. Rankings across the entire domain will be reduced.

Post the article first on your site and get it indexed before pushing it out to the wire. Link back to the article on the companies site from your press release at the bottom with a "read full story" link. and have the article on your website have a few more paragraphs.

Hello, Few weeks ago, we have implemented a snippets strategy in order to increase our ranking for our blog posts. That was successful and our results were showing up in Google. But today, every single snippet has disappeared. We go back to a simple search result, without snippets for us or for our competitors. It seems that Google has delete rich snippet for specific keywords because for the generic keywords (for exemple "inbound marketing definition" in our case), there is still a snippet result. Houston Company Needs Help (Will Our SEO Work Be Destroyed While Site is Down?, Can Anything be Done?)
I'm a Moz member, mostly just lurk, and love the Moz community. I work at a non profit company that does benchmarking data and helps school districts improve process in education. Our building flooded and our site is currently offline, is there anything we can do to stop/lesson any SEO page rank drop between now and when we are back up? We have worked very hard to get these rankings. I know it is minor compared to all tragedy in Houston, but we have worked hard to get these SEO gains (YEAH MOZ!) and I'd hate to lose them because of Harvey. Any suggestions, assistance appreciated! Google Keyword Tool is Being Sunsetted
I was reading this article http://adwords.blogspot.de/2013/05/introducing-keyword-planner-combining.html that says that Google is going to be sunsetting it's popular keyword tool. As an SEO specialist, I use this tool daily, so I'm concerned about it's impact on my keyword research efforts. I reviewed the keyword planner (albeit quite quickly) and it doesn't seem to work as efficiently for SEO keyword research. I'm curious to get others thoughts on the following: The new keyword planner tool Will the new keyword planner tool be effective for SEO keyword research Are there other tools that you've used that have provided good keyword research data (and are they free or paid)

Can I submit multiple data feed to Google Merchant Center?
I have submitted my product feed to Google Merchant Center. There are 7K+ products in one product feed. (data_feed.txt) I am not satisfy with my products' performance on Google shopping. Because, I am not able to maintain data quality for all products as well as not able to focus on high selling categories. Can I submit multiple product feed with separation of categories as follow. category001_data_feed.txt (With 200 High selling products) category002_data_feed.txt (With 100 offers products)

Google Places - Overcoming a geographical disadvantage
We have done some work on the Google Place entry for this website: http://www.royalhoteliow.co.uk/ We have spent a lot of time ensuring we have consistent address information, to make sure we have a good number of citations, and have worked with the staff at the hotel to ensure that there is a regular stream of reviews coming into a variety of websites that we know are used by Google. However.... Our target searches are 'Isle of Wight Hotels' and 'Isle of Wight Hotel'. If you do a Google map search for 'Isle of Wight', it drops a pin in the middle of the Island, which is 30 miles by 20! The main areas for hotels on the Isle of Wight (dictated by tourism), are about 15 miles from where Google percieves the Isle of Wight is, in the coastal towns. So it seems that no matter how hard we try, in terms of citations and reviews, GP is always going to prioritise those close to the middle of the area. Anyone got experience of a similar issue, or got any suggestions?
