Frequent updating of pages on website to rank better
-
Will updating each page often for example everyday or few days, rank the page and/or website better in google.
The reason I ask is that I made 18 websites about three months ago and the traffic initially was alot higher and has fallen little by little thru the 3 months. Also how well my pages rank has also fallen. I just put out the websites, have done nothing else. No linking, etc. No updates.
It is evident that without new links coming in, the website will fall in rank ie., link aquistion velocity
But my question is if I update the pages and change content frequently will this improve my position in google and other search engines.
The traffic on websites over the three months if graphed sort of looks like a stair case going down.

I agree with Ryan and EGOL. Spend your time and energy on making content that users want to read, not in trying to outguess the search engines.

I believe such changes would offer zero SEO value, but I don't have any evidence to support my position, and I am not aware of any tests on this particular topic.
Google is very smart. They have billions riding on search quality. They have proven very effective at detecting duplicate content across billions of web pages. I am confident making minor changes to your content in the manner you described would have no effect at all on SEO.
Many sites offer a dynamic date on their pages. Naturally the date changes each day. Google only sees the HTML. They have no way to see the actual php code which alters the date in the HTML.
Another example is signatures and other information users change. If a user has 10k posts on a forum and changes their signature, then 10k pages could possibly change. The overall ranking of the page is not usually affected because of this change.
These are two examples as to why I disagree with the practice you are suggesting. As EGOL shared, making changes to impress users, not Google.

just to clarify things - I dont mean updating a page to make it more meaningful, like giving people the latest fashions on a fashion site, I mean purely changing the text of the page every 24 hours for example- leaving the main seo words the same like the title H2 tags, li tags etc. So bascially in the optimization sense everything is held equal except now we have most of the words changed on the page, but not the keywords. Also disregard gettin any new links because the page was helpful. I mean purely purely just the words change, every so often. WILL THIS make the page rank better even for a short period of time like a day.

It's all in the execution....
If you add a brand new, unique, substantive, interesting and accurate article every few days I bet your website will grow very powerful over time.
But, if you change yada yada yada text to yaba yaba yaba text you might get a little tiny boost in the SERPs for a while but it's not going to be enough to make a difference in your wallet.
People who try to impress their visitors usually rank a lot better than people who try to impress Google.

There are many factors involved. Your question is a bit vague and it's hard to offer any firm reply. This falls along the "add a blog to your site is great for SEO" kind of advice. In general, adding a blog will help your site but only if it is done in a quality manner. You can't simply add a blog to your site and check it off your list as "done" and expect better rankings. The same idea would be applied to updating your content.
Do you have a clothing site? Then updating your content with your latest sales, fall fashions, etc. as appropriate would be helpful for users and probably rankings as well.
Do you own a health product site? Updating your content with latest health trends (acai berry, etc), product recalls, latest studies, etc. along with your sales and other helpful information for users should have a positive effect for your site.
I would not advise you to make changes just for the sake of making a change. You are not adding any value to users in the process.
With respect to your traffic drop, I would suggest taking a step back and re-evaluating your content. If you have high quality content then it should be earning some links and mentions. If that is not happening perhaps your content quality could use a boost. What changes can you make to your content to make it more engaging? Can you incorporate latest headlines into your site? How can you take your site to the next level? What can I offer that would make users WANTS to link to my site, tweet about it, etc.
These are the questions I would suggest you focus on.

Will Google crawl and rank our ReactJS website content?
We have 250+ products dynamically inserted and sorted on our site daily (more specifically our homepage... yes, it's a long page). Our dev team would like to explore rendering the page server-side using ReactJS. We currently use a CDN to cache all the content, which of course we would like to continue using. SO... will Google be able to crawl that content? We've read some articles with different ideas (including prerendering): http://andrewhfarmer.com/react-seo/

http://www.seoskeptic.com/json-ld-big-day-at-google/ If we were to only load the schema important to the page (like product title, image, price, description, etc.) from the server and then let the client render the remaining content (comments, suggested products, etc.), would that go against best practices? It seems like that might be seen as showing the googlebot 1 version and showing the site visitor a different (more complete) version.0 -
Page Authority for localized version of website
Hello everyone, I have a case here were I need to decide which steps to take to improve page authority (and thus SEO value) for the German pages on our site. We localized the English version into German at the beginning of 2015. www.memoq.com - English de.memoq.com - German By October 2015 we implemented href tags so that Google would index the pages according to their language. That implementation has been successful. There is one issue though: At that time, all our localized pages had only "1" point for Page Authority ("PA" in the Moz bar). At the beginning we though that this could be due to the fact that localization was done using subdomains (de.memoq.com) rather that subfolders (www.memoq.com/de). However, we decided not to implement changes and to let Google assess the work we had done with the href tags. Its been a while now, and still all our German pages keep having only "1" point for page authority. Plus we have keywords for which we rank in the top 10 in English (US Google Search), but this not the case for the translated version of the keywords for German (Germany Google search). So my question basically is: Is this lack of page authority and SEO value rooted in the fact that we used subdomain instead of subfolder for the URL creation. If so is it likely that Page Authority for German pages and SEO value will increase if I change the structure from subdomains to subfolders? Or is it that the problem in PA is rooted somewhere else that I am missing? I appreciate your feedback.

Anything I'm missing as my page just donst seem to rank
I am wandering if anyone can offer any suggestions, we have a page on our site https://www.wilsonfield.co.uk/insolvency-advice/liquidation/ this page is optimised to rank for liquidation however no matter how many links or how optimised the page is it just will not show in the SERPS. Moz gives it a page score of A we have built relevant links directly to the page using appropriate anchor text, have social likes and concentrated of getting more google+ likes. We run a detailed Moz SERP report comparing the above url to the top 10 ranked pages and we are looking competitive if not better on all ranking factors. This is now really frustrating that we arnt even in the top 100 and cant understand why. we have the https version of the site also submitted to webmaster tools and www is set to be the prefered. Has anyone got any ideas as to why google just dosnt like our site, we have no crawl errors we use all best practices.

Is it bad to have your pages as .php pages?
Hello everyone, Is it bad to have your website pages indexed as .php? For example, the contact page is site.com/contact.php and not /contact. Does this affect your SEO rankings in any way? Is it better to have your pages without the extension? Also, if I'm working with a news site and the urls are dynamic for every article (ie site.com/articleid=2323.) Should I change all of those dynamic urls to static? Thank You.
