In general, your listing score is simply a representation of how your complete your listing is among all of Moz Local's partners and non-partners. While I would consider it strange that you'd see an immediate change in listing score, it doesn't seem like it could be related to Moz Local's updates because the changes we make usually take a few weeks to propagate.

With respect to the Facebook page, there can be a number of reasons why it's not showing up. I'd recommend checking out the 'FAQ' section of this article for some reasons why it may not be visible to Moz Local: https://mza.bundledseo.com/help/guides/local/listing

Our system really ought to be able to handle that type of configuration, but it's proving to be quite an undertaking to make those changes from an engineering perspective. So, I'm not really able to say when we'll be able to accommodate SNI with our crawler. Sorry for the trouble!

I'm sorry that there hasn't been any update on that listing for Citysearch or Insider Pages! I'm not seeing anything that looks like it would be inhibiting this info from being updated correctly, but they are our newer partners, so perhaps it was related to a complication with their addition to the app.

At any rate, I've initiated a re-push for those aggregators, which should act like a local laxative and get this listings moving. If you're still not seeing progress in the next 8 weeks or so, please shoot us an email at [email protected] so we can get our engineers to investigate further

I'm sorry for any trouble that you're encountering with the Google+ verification process! Since we are attempting to offer a more affordable option for publishing your listings, we do rely on these external address validation methods.

If you're finding that you're consistently running into issues with the Google formatting, an alternative option could be to create Facebook pages with the address info as you had intended it. I know it's by no means a perfect solution, but I hope this helps!

While our index is rather large, it is by no means inclusive of every link on the web. We're continuously working to increase the scope of our index, which means that you could start to see more links included than before. Also, rather than a sheer volume change in our index, it could be related to the types of sites that we're looking at for a newer index update.

Unfortunately, we don't have the ability to report when a link was discovered by the index (other than in 'Just-Discovered Links' as Dmitrii mentioned above). It's certainly something we'd like to be able to accommodate for the future, but those changes would be a ways down the road.

With respect to a percentage increase, I don't believe it's displayed anywhere within the app, but you could find the value for that increase by dividing the new number of links (1130) by the original number of links (1130-875) and then multiplying by 100. I hope this helps!

It's definitely possible for a page to be correctly flagged as duplicate content while a canonical tag is applied. This typically happens in cases where the pages are being seen as duplicates of each other, but are canonicalized to different pages.

Currently, Moz Local doesn't accommodate service area businesses because a number of our partners don't accept an address of that format. I apologize for the inconvenience, but we do need a full street address for the business in order to publish it.

In general, Crawl Tests usually take around 24 hours. Part of the length is related to our current load when the crawl is requested, so you could potentially see a bit of a wait associated with sites of only a few pages.

In this particular case, it's totally our fault. We had a crawler outage, but as you have probably come to realize, all of the crawls have been re-queued and are in the process of completing right now

At the moment, our public API is specifically related to our link index. So, you could potentially grab link, URL, top pages, anchor text, and/or spam score metrics. I hope this helps to clarify!

I'm afraid that we don't really have a way to display that kind of info right about now, since Google doesn't share all of their search volume data anymore. It would definitely be a cool feature if we had access to the data though! Perhaps someone else has a suggestion for where you could find some comparable info to what you're after

Facebook

• Must be a Facebook local business page. An easy way to see if your page is a place/local business is to see if it has the following: About, Address, Hours, Contact and Reviews.

• Make sure that your business’s name, address and phone number are listed exactly as you would like them to appear in your Moz Local listing

• Ensure that the page is publicly accessible (Check with incognito browser to see if the page is available prior to logging into Facebook. Also, possibly give a screenshot of a functionally configured Facebook page’s privacy settings.)

• Make sure to have at least 2 check-ins to verify the physical location of your business. Not sure what to do here? Head to Facebook's resources to see how to let people check in and how you can check in.

Google+

• Must be a Google+ local business page. Look for the ‘Review Summary’ section on the page. Some other things to look for: Verified check mark next to the page image, Address, Hours and Reviews. Here's an example of what the page looks like.

• Make sure that your business’s name, address and phone number are listed exactly as you would like them to appear in your Moz Local listing. Note that service-area businesses (SAB) without their full address listed will run into complications with Moz Local since not all of our partners support SAB's.

• Must be a listed as a “verified local business". Remember that check mark we mentioned earlier? That's what you need!

As far as I know, our algorithm for keyword difficulty has not been changed in any serious way. However, we did just release a fresh link index update, and since the difficulty is calculated based on a number of different link metrics, the scores that you're seeing could conceivably be differing due to these link metrics having been recalculated.

I'm honestly not sure what KC is, so I can't really speak to that, but perhaps someone else can swoop in and cover me on that one

I'm sorry, but our current email system is only able to send all of the email notifications to a single email address. So, the best thing I could recommend would be to set up an email filter to automatically forward a portion of the emails to a separate address.

I popped over to Google AU, and created a profile for Australia using the MozBar to emulate national results. Here you can see that the current ranking as reported in the 'Analyze a Keyword' section aligns with the results in the Google SERP: http://www.screencast.com/t/9YA7otPL1

For Melbourne specifically, my results returned an 11 in the SERP and 12 within Moz: http://www.screencast.com/t/PN4rXC1xyw

So, the only thing I could recommend would be to check your browser settings to make sure that you're removing as much personalization as possible when checking your keywords.

On the option window that pops up when requesting a Full SERP Report from the Keyword Difficulty tool, you'll be able to use the bottom box to specify an 11th URL that you'd like to have compared with the first 10 search results (http://www.screencast.com/t/nzpvgpXgQq).

The discrepancy here is that Moz is querying Google in a process that completely strips personalization from the query, as Joe mentioned. This means that it's more representative of a national average for all searchers in the country, but it also means that you may not be able to reproduce these exact SERPs within your browser because your location is factored into your search results :).

One thing to note is that our link index (including the Spam Score metric) is update on a roughly monthly basis. So, it can definitely take some time before your domain metrics are recalculated.

In general, the best advice for any link-related question is almost always to focus on cultivating healthy, relevant and authoritative backlinks to work on your site's backlink profile. Disavowing links can be a beneficial step, depending on the links, but it can also be dangerous to disavow all links to a domain.

If you're making positive changes on your site for the sake of your site and its content, then you'll see your Spam Score work its way down as a side-effect

Unfortunately, I don't know of any way to do this. It's certainly possible that one of our other community members would have some experience with this type of request, but I'm afraid that I don't have any wonderful insight to bestow :(.

When looking for the keywords that are being targeted for a given page or site, I'd recommend checking out the anchor text metrics in Open Site Explorer. This can help to give some insight into what keywords that site is interested in pursuing, but other than the On-Page Grader, we don't have a tool that is designed to pull keyword instances out of a particular URL.

While I'm not really able to give out the entire recipe for DA, it's my understanding that social signals are not a factor in this metric. Since social signals are not "link metrics", I think it's safe to say that they are not in the DA algorithm based on the blurb that was quoted above :).

Negotiating contracts for the proper partners in a different local search ecosystem, and configuring a billing setup to accommodate multiple currencies has proven quite a task which is why the process is taking longer than anticipated.

Sorry for the conflicting values! We did just release a fresh index update which is available through the MozBar, but the update would have had a delay before being pushed into campaigns. So, if you were checking the campaigns before that update was published, then the MozBar would have been reporting June 9th data while the campaigns were still reporting data from May 4th.

With that being said, I took a look through a handful of your campaigns, and everything seems to be matching up as of now. But, if you're still seeing inconsistencies, then please feel free to write in to us at [email protected] with a specific example

You can request a CSV containing all of your ranking data from the dawn of your campaign by hitting the 'Email Rankings History CSV' button with the 'Keyword Rankings' section of your campaign :).

It looks to me as though this may just be a hiccup within the MozBar plug-in; notice that the bar for DmT is partially filled, but there is no value displayed. So, I'd recommend clearing your cache and cookies, and potentially checking the value in MozBar for Chrome.

Checking the value in Open Site Explorer's 'Compare Link Metric' section would also be a good way to see if the value does indeed exist :).

If none of those seem to resolve the issue that you're seeing, then I would recommend writing in to us at [email protected] with some more specific examples.

Yep, this would definitely be a job for us on the Help Team to get this listing re-validated. Google has made some changes to their API which may have been the reason why we weren't able to view the Google+ page for this business, but it looks like it is currently visible to our system.

As you supposed, this issue is stemming from the fact that our system doesn't include the ".training" TLD. This is a bit of a tricky one because people could theoretically create any TLD imaginable (".cyclops" is one that I've been coveting for a while), but these have to be explicitly defined within our system; there is no catch-all set up to know what is or isn't a TLD unless we specifically declare it within our index.

With that being said, I've sent over a request to have it included for the future :). I hope this helps to explain!

My initial thought is perhaps it's something browser-related. So, I'd recommend clearing your cache and cookies first, and then potentially uninstalling and reinstalling your MozBar; perhaps it has to do with the extension not updating fully.

It's a little tough for me to say for certain without being able to take a look at a particular example. So, if you're still running into issues, then I'd recommend shooting us some URLs where you're observing this over at [email protected]

Yep, this does look like it's related to the fact that these are currently listed as service area businesses on Google+. If you were able to display the full street address from your corresponding Facebook pages, then we should be able to successfully pull that info in

I spoke to one of the folks that worked directly on defining these spam flags, and they said that the calculations in this type of case are a bit too complex to pass along any sort of generalized guideline.

We've checked Hotfrog's API, but if they're not showing that listing information to us, then there's no way for us to display the information within your Moz Local listing. So, the best thing I could recommend would be to contact Hotfrog directly, and ask them to make sure that the listing is fully visible to Moz

Also, there are a few things that we should be able to check for you if you'd be able to send your account email and listing info over to [email protected]. It's potentially possible that the listing is validated against Facebook rather than Google+, but our system is encountering a road bump that has stopped it from automatically updating. You can see 404 errors for your own domain in the Crawl Diagnostics section, and you can see broken links which are linking to your site by running a 'Top Pages' report that specifies 4XX HTTP status through Open Site Explorer. However, it sounds like you're looking for the broken links on your site which are linking to 404 errors.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is a quick way to get all of that info in one report. You could run the Open Site Explorer report from above for domains that you know you are linking to, but other than that I don't think there is another tool we have for that. On Facebook, it looks like your page's name is listed as 'SearchOutsidethebox.com by Jeremy Wood', whereas on Moz Local your name is listed as 'SearchOutsidetheBox.com'. You'll just want to make sure that those match up as well, and we should be able to find the page in no time!

Yikes! This issue pops up from time to time, but usually resolves itself by the next crawl. I'm really sorry you've been experiencing this problem!

Your robots.txt file looks good, but it's possible that it's an issue coming from HT access, or a shared hosting provider. I would check with your hosting service to see if there is anything that would be stopping RogerBot. If there's nothing from their end then please let me know at [email protected] so our engineers can investigate further :).

Both Monica and Max have excellent suggestions! Open Site Explorer (OSE) can show you highly valued inbound links!  Do keep in mind that we can't index the whole interwebz so OSE is likely not displaying 100% of your backlinks. We start from sites with high domain authority, and crawl downward through links that we determine to have high priority. So I would suggest heading over there to check that out!

If you feel that you really do need a full backlink profile then AHrefs is a popular service for that feature! I hope this helps, and have a wonderful day!

Thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the confusion! This is a tricky one! All of this information is pulled from the same source; it's just being reported in slightly different ways. This campaign is set up to track the subfolder itelligencegroup.com/uk/, which is totally fine, but is also the source of the confusion :).

In Competitive Metrics, you have the option to toggle between domain and subdomain (http://screencast.com/t/aguINJ3OlFCA). If you switch to subdomain then you'll see that your results realign with the numbers in your Link Analysis section.

Then for OSE, you can see 14 root domains linking to the subfolder itelligencegroup.com/uk/, but if you add that to the 115 linking root domains for intelligencegroup.com you get the full 129! It's just displayed in this way because of the geo-locating redirect associated with the root domain for this site which makes for some funky link reporting.
